I have nothing against but is necessary to have a sixth member everytime ?

Probably from the marketing standards. It gives them the chance to sell another morpher, set of weapons and zord that they can feature heavily in the show [read: heavily advertise], so they can earn a tonne of money. Even Go-Busters had a second set of mecha and morphers, with Beet and Stag Busters debuting when a Sixth usually would. The last one that didn't really fit any of these standards was Go-Go-V, and even then they added one in Lightspeed Rescue.

Also, their characters are more interesting to us, as I've noticed from the boards. Due to their seperate nature and occasional conflict, they usually stand out more and become more popular characters than some forgettable members of their team. Their ofthen unique design can help with this. I can say that Akira (Tokkyu-6) is probably the most interestng character in that show, but all this is just my opinion.

It's an extra set of toys. From a marketing standpoint, yes I'd say it pretty much is.

The last two sentai couldn't have a sixth member was abaranger and gekiranger.

AbareKiller counts as a sixth, and Geki effectively had the GekiChopper/The White One in the same place- he had his own morpher and mech that made its own robot.

Well GekiChopper had an entirely new changer and a mecha, so toy line-wise I guess it did.

But abarekiller and gekichopper is not one of the sixth members of gokai silver.

Abarekiller and Gekichopper are not considered sixths in terms of line-up.

I say that it some times is and sometimes isn't. Like for instance toq6 was necessary for plot reasons such as Swartz and his rivalry and past and the Chou Chou Toq Dai oh combination.
When it's not necessary is in a series like megaranger or time ranger. Not saying timefire wasn't b.a and awesome but I just don't see why he was added into the series.

Tell that to Gokai Silver Gold Mode.

I just look at Gokai Silvers celluar phone and call it a day. Since those are consider the 6th ranger line up.

I think that without a sixth ranger, the enemies would win. They give that feeling that the rangers/sentai team could possibly lose so they have to pull off a miracle. It draws people into the show more. If there wasn't a sixth ranger or powered up mode, I think people would stop watching Sentai series about half way through.

AbareKiller was a sixth in Gokaiger. His mech was one of the modes for Gai's mech, Gai used his key, and in the Abaranger tribute, Ahim was AbarePink since Gai was AbareKiller.

No, but seriously...Go-Busters didn't have a sixth, unless Jin and J count as sixths.

I think from a marketing standpoint, Jin and J count as sixths, but they may be sixths in the Gekiranger sense.

We don't have a 6th every time. We have had additional rangers (or heroes in some cases) every time since Zyuranger with the only exception being Go Go V. The likes of Gekiranger and Go-Busters both had 2 additional rangers, but no 6th rangers. In the case of Ninjaman and Black Knight, they added to the products and stories in most of the same ways as a 6th would. Even some with 6 rangers have multiple waves of additional rangers (like Go-Onger and Hurricanger).

The fact is that marketing dictates additional rangers/heroes every year, regardless of numbers. 6th rangers are just the most common. It's how the shows handle these marketing mandates that really matters. The 6th ranger in the mid teens is a trope that is admittedly getting stale, but it's also the easiest to use.

Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters Returns vs. Dōbutsu Sentai Go-Busters . It is one heck of a film. :lol

Oh, right. I kinda remember that existing. By that point I'd decided I'd wasted enough of my life on Go-Busters and didn't want any more.

It's a seriously fun film. IT kinda parodies the heck out of Go-busters by making it into a more... typical Sentai. With copious amounts of Beet J Stag.
