Power Rangers Dino Charge Wave 1 Dino Chargers Gallery
40 Attachment(s)
It's time to get Charged Up with Power Rangers Dino Charge!
Available now at Toys'R'Us and Target stores, the first wave of the Dino Chargers (batteries that work with the Dino Charge Morpher allowing the Power Rangers to morph and call upon special powers) have been released! The Dino Chargers come in two packs along with a two-piece Dino Zord which can both house the battery (causing their body to be extended) or be mixed and matched with other Dino Zords for cute, adorable, and deadly combinations! Much like the Ranger Keys from Power Rangers Super Megaforce, the Dino Chargers all unlock different sounds and phrases from this year's morpher, giving collectors and kids a reason to buy them all. To top it off, each battery can be scanned with the mobile phone app to allow another play pattern or two! Fun! The packs are listed as follows:
Interesting to note - in these first initial packs, we receive the core 5 chargers for the core 5 of the Power Rangers Dino Charge team. The chargers that come paired with the regular chargers are Fossil Chargers. They feature four different images - fossil, fossil charged, dinosaur, dinosaur charged. The Tyrannosaurus Rex Charger is a standard red, not half translucent like with what came with the Power Rangers Dino Charge Megazord. The other Dino Chargers all match the ones you can get by purchasing other products. The little Dino Zords that come with the Dino Chargers are cute, but are totally there to help justify buying the product (cuz $8.99 for two little plastic toy batteries is a rip off). They serve no purpose except to maybe hold your Dino Chargers, but even then you still have an extra one lying around. My assumption is that we will see more of the same in the future, including different colors of these five, as well as some retro (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Dino Zords anyone?). The ability to mix and match them is cute but really does nothing to add to the overall experience. They feature minimal paint (eyes, one other part with minimal paint) and don't snap together super easily. Some of them barely hold the Dino Chargers, even though they are molded for them to slide in only in one particular way (the way shown in the gallery). So let's get down to the point. THE GOOD!
THE BAD
CONCLUSION! If you're planning to collect the Power Rangers Dino Charge line, then these Dino Chargers are probably right up your alley. If you're not planning to collect them (especially after the headache of last year's Ranger Keys, this is an incredibly easy pass. These items are only for those who want to collect them and who want to use them with the Dino Charge Morpher. As stand alone toys, they aren't super impressive. These will make you happy if you're a Dino Charge fan, otherwise these are an easy pass. |

Yup ... you guessed it ... EVEN MORE PICTURES OF THE POWER RANGERS DINO CHARGE WAVE1 DINO CHARGERS!!!!
The Frankenstein combinations though. :lol
Those look so cool, I'm amazed at how many of the Chargers they're actually making.
Not falling down that hole again. Keys were bad enough. Is there a reason those chargers wef chosen? It seems odd to have 1-5, then 12, 14, 16, 18, 20
I want all of them. Good thing I have a set coming for me from Twitter.
I can't wait to get my hands on these, if only for the Chibi Dinos.
Praise Helix.
i'm likin them. The price tag is a bit high, but not by much, and I can give my nephew the Dinos while I keep the Batteries. Win win.
I cannot believe you got 150 images out of 5 batteries
The Triceratops head with the T-Rex tail is pretty much the greatest thing ever. it looks like a twerking Triceratops with a red spanked ass and big feet. It's more legendary than all of Super Megaforce.
I really like the mini zords but I wish there was more to them than just swapping out the heads and tails.

Personally I didn't go down the key hole because during the early waves I wasn't sure if we will get a single girl and the later waves that did have the girls also has repeat key. |
I can't wait till they hit stores in my area. I'm definitely gonna collect all of them. Hopefully we see some Legendary Ranger versions in the near future!
Ugh, if I buy these, I'm just gonna press the button, shout "Gaburincho!" and then chuck it at my roommate before running. not very heroic, but I'm no superhero either. XD
These continue the tradition of the keys in that they're smaller, more functional and I like them more
But I need these for gigabrachis when he comes out.
Want. Oh how I want.
The mini zords aren't anything outstnading, but they are a cool add-in.
As for the batteries, they look nice, and the improved playability due to the extra sides is great! |
Good news is that you have plenty of spare surfaces to practice painting on!
Pretty amazing how many they managed to adapt. And while I expect a total of half of them to be used, but still cool.
I will buy as many of these as I can.
$5-7 i would be 100% fully behind this even though im not buying any, this shows that BOA is learning
Ahh, I would love MMPR or Dino Thunder legendary batteries with rapainted chibis of the Zords and holy crap is this gallery extensive! It's like a CSI: Toku Toys.
I just realizd the ammonite is green like the ammonite from the transformers comics which amuses me for some reason. Also it is a very very pretty shade of green I now what I scarf or bandana or something in that color.
Edit: Actually all the colors on the batteries are very very pretty. |
I don't know how others feel about it, but I'm actually glad that the actual names of each creature is on the battery. It allows for the children to learn the names of dinosaurs while also getting a cool toy to play with.
The mini-dinos are an interesting value-add. So's the half-charged state.
Nevertheless, I'm puzzled as to why electronics weren't included in the Dino Charge Megazord. Part of the fun of the zyudenchi was range of sounds they brought out of the mecha. Isn't the whole point of these little widgets that they enhance all the related toys, not just the henshin device? |
The price is pretty steep but these are cool little collectables. The mix-and-match mini-dinos are also fun, as I guess that people wouldn't really want to pay for two cylinders. Probably not going to go into these though. Might end up with a few if I buy some of the other merchandise.
Never had any of the Kyoryuger toys, but these batteries seem so much better.

Now I await the Ovvirapoo toy....
So what does the QR code on the one end do for these anyway?
Seeing so many of these batteries for the U.S. version, I hope we get all the zords released as well in the U.S.
Very very cool. Now just if my stores can start getting in the Dino Charge toys in i can get them.
I like these ones better than the ones for Kyoruger. The glittery plastic reminded me of those cheap sticker cards you could get from those trading card machines. Matte sometimes looks better.
My son is going to love those, we're already having a blast playing with the Zords. Thanks for the pics fellas.
