Chogokin Shinkenoh Rumored?
 

Caught this on Soulinkchu's Twitter, but it looks like the next Super Sentai Artisan release could be Shinkenoh!

Super Sentai Artisan isn't synonymous with Soul of Chogokin, is it?

If it were the former, I'd expect a reissue of DX Shinken-Oh with some die-cast.

The latter would be a much more exciting prospect. I thought the Super Robot Chogokin version was terrific, and I'm trying to imagine what they might do for a higher-end version; probably re-engineer the entire thing so it combines and looks show-accurate.

Like the ToQ-Oh they did this will just be the normal Shinken-Oh toy with added die cast.

Call me when it's a real Soul of Chogokin. Until then, it's just an overpriced die-cast brick like the Legacy line.

That's fairly dissapointing then.

Shinkenger is massively popular but this still seems like an unusual choice for this line.


If Super Sentai ever did cross into the Soul of Chogokin series I'd be praying for a Daizyujin.

I'd love a retro visit. Big fan of the fact their SH Figuarts line expanded to GoRanger and Sun Vulcan.

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the difference between Soul of Chogokin and what this appears to be? I though Chogokin was the term used when die cast metal was involved. Isn't this that? Like the Artisan Toq-Oh?

Artisan takes the existing mold and adds on a few new features made of diecast.

Soul of Chogokin would be a complete new mold made primarily of diecast.

Maybe we can get a Senpuujin :p buy I'm hoping for a liveman robo or a great five robo which sounds completely insane.

Soul of Chogokin is a completely new mold that is more accurate and more poseable than the DX toy. This is just a diecast upped version of the DX toy.

Would not mind one of these if they made one. Price will be prohibitive, though ... ouch.

This is sort of out of left field. I wonder how the Artisan ToQ-Oh did. It was probably received well if this is a thing. I can't imagine this being a big deal for anyone other than completionists though.

I mean, we did get Battle Fever Robo, right? :p

I wonder if they'll re-release a the LEgacy Megazord as Daizyujin for this?

I see thanks guys. Would the SOC molds still be able to transform? I can imagine that being the sacrifice for a more show accurate look and all that metal.

SOCs usually can transform, and rather accurately too.

Soul of Chogokins are all fully transformable.

The sacrifice comes in the form of payment. :P SoC is an EXTREMELY expensive line; averaging $200-300 or more per release.

I thought they already did Shinken-Oh?

We've already established that Super Robot Chogokin Shinken Oh & this possible Chogokin Sentai Artisan Shinken Oh are different things.

Well considering Super Robot Chogokin is a line of 6" action figures that do not transform, and the Sentai Artisan line offers the fully functional DX toys with additional diecast content, they're quite different. The SRC Shinken Oh came out over 3 years ago. This is going toe be a Sentai Artisan Chogokin like the recent ToQ Oh release.

They have been known for having optional parts forming as well if theres problems getting the parts the right size by using perfect transformation. For example Daltanius' head. But otherwise they do transform.

You know what? Gosei Great I think would be another great choice. Say what you will about the show but I felt that the core mecha design was alright in retrospect.

I hate to say it dude, but I have no idea what you are talking about. I've never heard of this Sentai Artisan line. Nor did I even know there was a ToQ Oh SRC.

Super Sentai Artisan is a new line by Premium Bandai. They take the existing DX Toys of the Robos and rerelease them with added die cast parts. They did that with ToQ-Oh last year and are now possibly doing the same with Shinken-Oh.

Shinken-oh would be pretty nice. Though wouldn't it be cool if they started doing these of some of the really older mecha?

That would certainly be nice. Having a Die Cast Magi King would be pretty awesome. But there is still the question how many of the really old molds are still in existence.

So far their mandate has been a bit more than that, but it does seem like they'll be doing that as well. I hope they continue on this path (releasing DX mecha), but also continue to add things to those mecha (like the bad guys and accessories)

That's right. So far, they have been full DX toys (the only non-robot being the rainbow line tracks, which DID come with elbow joints for the robots).

Indeed. Would be nice to have some of the older mecha released in this line.

As for ShinkenOh, I wouldn't mind one, since I've never owned the figure. The pricing for ToQOh was a bit high, though.
