What toy line do you regret skipping out on? (all Toku)
as the title said what toku related toy line do you regret either missing out on or skipping for one reason or another?
me it would be gaoranger/wild force zords and power animals. when they first came out i did not like the designs thought they where too organic and had no interest in the show. lately though after seeing more pictures and reviews i have fallen in love with these diecast sparkly painted toys of awesomeness aftermarket is not kind on some of them though do to never having an american release if you want them MISB http://i608.photobucket.com/albums/t...psae58995f.jpg |
I regret not getting the Jungle Fury zords. The BoA megazords were only 20 bucks back then, and Jungle Fury had some awesome stuff.
|
Everything from time force to dino thunder
|
I regret missing out on the Akibaranger and Kyoryuger toyline. Got into both of these series a year late. I like the anime theme of Akibaranger and the dinosaur theme of Kyoryuger. I wanted a Moe Moe Zykun-01 gun and a Tobaspino mecha. I'm hoping for a reissue of these items.
|
The MMZ-001 version of the Moe Moe Z-Cune pops up pretty regularly on Mandarake for between ¥3,000 to ¥4,000.
I regret missing out on the Premium Bandai hauls of the Fourze/Gokaiger run. I'd love to have the flags to hang and I would flat out kill for a decently priced Hayabusa plush. |
The Legacy Megazord and Dragon Zord. Time and Money is pretty much why I never got the chance to get them. Not to mention I have no room at the moment for new stuff. I was hoping the prices for them would drop down over time, but they got higher instead :(.
|
For me the Magiranger stuff...that is just some brilliant design.
|
Oh man Gaoranger mecha for sure. Those are great. Legacy Megazord and Dragonzord as well.
And I know it's stupid, but I always wanted the OOO combo change figures. Just the OOO forms, I dunno why, but small, simple OOO that can swap is appealing. Now they're hard to find and expensive. |
I regret not buying a Gaburevolver while I watched Kyoryuger. I just got mine (for $32 used, so not bad at all), but I have been playing catch up with batteries and stuff and that is frustrating on my wallet.

While I would say most things, I think the one thing I do regret not getting was the RPM Megazords, especially when they were on clearance and dirt cheap. I think back then my mindset was like, "I want the Japanese ones" but of course, getting $500-800 worth of DX mecha is a pipe dream.

i was the same way with the gokaiger ranger keys i just said forget it after looking at prices. then i had a small hope with the american keys.... yeah that died pretty quickly sense all the keys will never be made leaving teams with missing members |
I'd say the MMPR 2010 line, but realistically the only thing I wanted was the Megazord. I also could have paid more attention during Super Samurai, if only because I never got the Ultrazord all together.
I think so far I'm not regretting much. If anything, I'm kinda regretting some of the stuff that I did end up getting. |
For all the railing I do against exclusives being ways of Bandai to steal money... I regret never getting a Legacy Megazord, Dragonzord, or Titanus. I also regret not getting Dino Charge stuff. Unemployed, not as fun as I was promised.

But hey, at least the crappy setup Nick insisted on means you'll have about 7 months to get the small amount of stuff that's out now that only amounts for 1/4 of the entire Dino Charge toyline. I wholeheartedly regret Wild Force, Ninja Storm and Dino Thunder. Sure I was a little kid with no income and a mom who didn't really like PR at the time. I think it was either because of the violence level and my age at the time or it was not knowing I even liked the series. Damn expensive toys. |
I hope so, Gosei.

I do wish I had not skipped out on mystic force stuff here in the us. Man, Im glad I finaly have a magiking though, that dragon mode is worth it alone.
|
There wasn't a line that I regret getting but more of a figure, it was the MMPR Gold and Black repaint Megazords. Still want it to this day.
|
The Jungle Fury 5 inch figures, besides looking great and coming from a great show, here for some bizarre reason they sold the two pack and the single figures at the same price, so it would have been really cheap to get them.
|
The Megaforce Zord Builder system.
|
Two years ago I would have said the OOO Toyline but then I went to japan and pretty much got all of it.
And thats pretty much my stance now on Lines I have missed. I try to go to japan every few years so whatever I have missed out on I can buy there. |
Gekiranger's.
I hadn't known of it's greatness, and I just skimmed over the Jungle Fury line (Even when I saw the zord pack that included RinLion and RinChameleon! *Cries*) |
Well I really have nothing I regret skipping on, but I wish I never sold off my Jungle Fury figures. I assumed Bandai was going to do Figuarts of them when they revealed Rio and Mele prototypes, so I got rid of everything, the five rangers, Rio, and Mele. I also wish that I had bought the mech back of Wolf, Black Lion, Chameleon, and then the rhino.
|
My only regret is returning the 2010 Megazord. Considering how much the Legacy version was/is now, I had a cheaper version for only 20 fricken dollars and I returned it like an idiot. I don't even know why I did it.
|
Legacy Megazord line. Saw Dragonzord and was tempted, but without the original Megazord to go with it, didn't feel like I could justify it. And we'll be having the fourth entry in it soon, so it feels like I hesitated just too long to have a hold on collecting them.
And I do wish I got into Figuarts sooner than I did, since I knew of them well before I bought any. |
I regret everything. The only line I have complete are the Legacy line, the Super Megaforce line, and the Dino Charge line (so far). I'll soon have the Dairanger line complete but I need to replace my red dragon thunderzord and I still need Serpentera. Still my tor needs repairs and I need the red min-figure and it needs new decals, but is almost finished. And these are just the megazords. I only get megazords. I rarely ever get figures unless they are necessary or for nostalgic reasons. Or it looks really cool. Oh and I have my Jetman collection almost complete. I am just missing Tetra boy.
|
Probably Jungle Fury. I once had the opportunity to purchase the giant giftset that included the smaller version of the Jungle Pride Megazord and the six auxiliary zords(plus I think a leg zord that was remolded to look like their cannon?), but passed on it since I already had the DX megazord. I really liked those zords too >_<
|
Kyoryuger :(
|
I personally wish I got some of the Kyoryuger stuff as well. The mecha line for Kyoryuger was pretty pricy even on sites like CStoys since the boxes for them were pretty big which boost up the shipping for them.
|
I'd be okay with the Dino Charge versions of the Megazord, but dear that Gaburevolver is tempting lol

I don't really regret skipping any particular lines, I just wish I could have afforded certain Figuarts on release that I missed out on and am yet to pick up.

Missing out on Legacy Megazord was another brain fart moment, for the same reason above. Gotta start going with my first mind. |
