You wanna know who doesn't care about Kuuga's anniversary? Joe Odagiri. :(

I wouldnt say that he doesnt care he is just not that into it. His opinion on the show has changed a bit since when he first got the role.

Ahhh Kuuga. One of my favorites with one of my favorite riders and design.

It's already been well established that the whole Joe Odagiri hates Kamen Rider thing was one massive misunderstanding. Would he ever want to play the character again? No, not really at all. But he does not outright hate his work or impact on the franchise as has been the popular misconception.

I love Kuuga since I do love the dark tone and the characters but I never got the chance to finish it. I would have finished it if Battleride War never spoiled the ending to me :(.

Kuuga is absolutely amazing and the characters are amazing and enjoyable. I think you really should continue watching it. Even if the ending is spoiled.

You won't regret it one bit. :)

Still holds up for me as one of the best Rider shows ever. I should finish my rewatch of it this year to celebrate.

What I find interesting about this show is how well it handles it's themes and plot elements across the entire series. The Grongi threat is palpable with body counts being reported almost every episode. The side cast feels very connected and I don't think there is one major character that doesn't get a completed character arc. Godai's various forms are also handled very well and don't feel as gimmicky as other shows within the genre.

If and when I recommend people to start watching Kamen Rider I will probably point them in this series direction first. Happy Anniversary.

Kuuga tends to feel like a good start into the series with it being the series that revived the franchise.

Also good to see you posting Sniper.

That's also a perk about it. Kind of like using the the 2005 revival of Dr. Who to get people into that franchise.

That is a good comparison, especially given we already have the comparison of Joe odagiri, Kuuga's actor and Chris Eccleston, the ninth doctor.

Kuuga is one of my favorite series, I just love the characters especially Godai and how he wants to protect everyone's smiles and how he gives Thumbs Up to everyone. Also he has awesome form changes. So Happy 15th Anniversary Kuuga! =)

Bullshit. ZX's actor came back for Heisei/Showa, got to play himself & the villain :lol McGann got the shaft into only appearing in a webisode/short that set up John Hurt. He got the short end of the stick, at least Shun Sugata got a real apperance in another top billed film of his franchise.

I love that episode it was fun.

Some confetti for the first official Heisei Rider! Kuuga was great. I loved the show from the beginning to end.
Also yay for double Kenji! (Tominaga Kenji, the suit actor for Kuuga and Urai Kenj, the actor who played N-Daguva-Zeba- they played together in the Sailor Moon musicals after Kuuga)

Considering Kamen Rider Spirits and how Ryo is handled in that manga, it was an awesome choice.

I was thinking more of how he only appeared on film twice, separated by a very long time, but the character was really prominent in supporting media.

was there a lot of promotion for him? I don't think I saw a lot of ads that said he was coming back.

Ryo Hayami got a bit of spotlight, not as much as Fujioka, but still quite a bit.

all we really got from the ads was just ZX doing a pose iirc.

ZX is the main character of Spirits and back in the 80s he had a lot of development in magazines and even a radio drama. I wasn't talking specifically about the Heisei vs. Showa movie, but about the character of ZX in general.

Leave out the white, because Tuxedo Kamen's suit is black xDDD

Today on the 30th of January 2000 Kamen Rider went back on the air after 10 years of absence and I am very grateful for that :D

A Huge *Thumbs Up* To Kuuga and the Return of Kamen Rider! I am so happy and thankful I have found Kamen Rider and that it returned 15 Years ago.
