First Gridman and now this. This week just can't help being awesome.

I think I just found my favorite showa rider.

I know this is off topic but... the movie releases on my birthday. :lol

I think that Kamen Rider 3's a gray area as I've heard that he's actually a Rider for all 3 eras

It's kind of funny how this is suppose to be a Super Hero Taisen movie yet Kamen Rider is the most advertised franchise thus far...we still don't even know how Super Sentai's gonna fit into this.

Toei said that they would be making superhero movies a yearly thing; they didn't say WHAT superheroes now :P

But isn't Ninninger's concept ninjas that don't hide? :D

Which 3 eras?

I've heard that he was part of the only 3 eras of Kamen Rider that exist: Showa (as he was supposed to be part of the Showa Riders at first), Heisei (idk; I just heard that at the same time), & Neo-Heisei

since nothing has yet to be mentioned about Super Sentai, we don't even know if it's A ninja sentai let alone which one if we see a Super Sentai in this film

Regardless I won't be disappointed if Super Sentai does not feature in this film. They always have the winter VS movies to fall back to so I think it will be fine even if they don't appear. If they do somehow have them featured and make it work that is fine by me too.

Basically the coolest thing I've seen. *said as if I'm in Napoleon Dynamite*. No really, Kamen Rider 3 has to be the coolest Showa Rider aside from Black. I love it. His car is one sweet ride.

I can never keep track of these movies, but since they are rarely cannon(looking at you Decade) it doesn't bother me too much if I miss any, but that aside I really want to learn about Number Three and what his deal is

Actually most of the recent films have been canon in one way or another.

The Spring movies are never canon though since they fit nowhere in the timeline of the show. I think some of the recent films that came out during the summer and winter can be debatable like Wizard in Magic Land if they are canon or not.

I think some Rider movies try to fit themselves into canon, like KRT trying to fit itself in the middle of the Gaim Yggdrasil arc, Sengoku movie war trying to fit in between episodes 9 and 10, but a lot of them are not canon with the current shows due to contradicting details

KRT had the Super Sentai and every Rider in the movie. I believe that it's impossible for the Super Sentai and Kamen Rider can exist in the same universe due to timeline issues. Also it would be impossible for every Rider show to exist into one universe due to timeline issues as well.

Well I mean obviously if you start thinking extremely logically about toku, most of these series, movies and franchises have sketchy connections.

That said, I'd still like to think all toku (except Ultraman until they decide to add that, too.) exist in the same universe.

it would make the most sense, if any, that all tokusatsu exist in the same universe (as long as they're by the same production company)

I just view the Kamen Rider movies the same way that I do with the older DBZ movies (also from Toei) that some of them fit while others do not fit and can be view as AU films. With big Spring crossover movies, they always have so many plot holes and are they are never brought up again in the show. If they reference at least once then it happens in my opinion. Movie War 2010 and Movie War Mega Max both happen since they reference in the show.

Sangou looks awesome, I can't wait for this. I also think the Blade Riders might be coming back for this because they show them and it's weird to bring back Chalice and Leangle if they aren't coming back.

I don't think it will to be honest. Despite the name it's probably just running with the whole "Kamen Rider Taisen" thing the last movie had. If any Sentai make an appearance it's just gonna be cameos again.

Nope- that shizzles canon. Haruto gains Infinity Dragon in it, which he uses in the canon movie epilogue crossover (boosted to Gold) . Gaim's part in that move is a bit fiiy, though, considering Zangetsu works with them and Mitchy gains the never again seen Blood Orange Lock.

Would've been cool if he somehow used it again. I mean they threw Kogane back into the show, so I don't see the „people who don't watched the movie wouldn’t get the reference“-argument I heard some people use against Blood Orange.

Unrelated comment, am I the only one who's seeing this inside his head when I hear the name "Kamen Rider Sangō"?

Well, hopefully we get a figure of that guy! I love the possibility of a Shocker Rider connection, even if there is none. I've sorta been building my own little universe in my mind (based on the figures I own) so he'll be super useful one way or the other.

Considering there's a giant Shocker insignia behind the guy, the fact that he rocks a Shocker Rider-esque color scheme and the broken handcuffs, that's pretty clear indications. I think he's an Ex-Shocker Rider who was imprisoned because he couldn’t be controlled and after he escaped became a hero. Or he will become a hero during this movie, could be that he sets out fighting other Riders to learn more about himself or something like that.

Looking good. I see they're going with Kotaro as Black, not Black RX. Always the right call.

I only watch anime adapted from tokusatsu or anime adapted into tokusatsu but I think her name is Sango if I'm correct

Oh. Inuyasha. Yeah, I've done my best to completely exorcise that garbage from my memory.

True story: I used to be a big anime fan when I was in college. Inuyasha completely killed the entire genre for me. I've only tried watching a few animes since then and not even the Garo one can hold my interest anymore.

Don't know anything about the anime since I've only seen a few episodes, I concentrated myself on the manga and it's one of the few ones I actually have nearly completed. I don't know if the anime is an example of a watered-down version many people despise when it comes to anime, but I could see that being the case since I heard of the extreme filler and censorship that this show had. And I can see the story suffering from the episodic nature of a TV-show as well.

Otherwise it might be personal preference, I just enjoy the work of Rumiko Takahashi in general and have a nostalgic opinion towards Inu Yasha and Ranma.

And I'm in a similar situation like you: I really enjoyed anime and mange back in school but afterwards I just couldn’t get into it anymore. I tried and found some really great shows (Fullmetal Alchemist for example) but overall I don't watch anime or read manga anymore. Tried Garo as well, watched it, but don't really feel like I have to continue with the next season, despite the pathetic cliffhanger. Or maybe because of it.

Replace Inuyasha with Naruto and I'm kind of in the same situation :p

Rabid fangirls/fanboys can kill off anything I find. I use to like it it too till I realized that every episode was basically the same thing.
