ToQger 46 airs in place of 47 this Sunday, Ninninger to premiere 2/22
1 Attachment(s)
Tragically last weekend saw the death of Japanese journalist Kenji Goto at the hands of the IS militant group. And although neither TokuNation staff or it's members are permitted to discuss politics or a situation like this we do have news that relates to it.
When Mr. Goto passed away last weekend news coverage of that event superseded the second half of Super Hero Time meaning Ressha Sentai ToQger 46 did not air as it was intended. With a looming February 15th premiere of Shuriken Sentai Ninninger this means the airing schedule is a bit off at the moment. Via the official TV-Asahi website we've learned that Episode 46 will indeed air this weekend on Sunday February 8th (Japan time) instead of 47. There's no word yet as to whether this push will have an effect on Ninninger's premiere date or not but we will keep you informed as the situation develops. EDIT: Ninninger confirmed to now premiere on the 22nd Feb. http://www.tokunation.com/attachment...1&d=1423130139 |
I was hoping they would just make it a TQG hour so that scedules can be maintained but guess not.
|
Delay in Drive/Ninninger can affect toy release, so I doubt they'll let TQG airs in Drive timeslot. This series was way underrated and now it's suffering the delay schedule.
|
I think it is better/cooler that Ninninger premieres on Ninja Day. I am also glad that we are able to get the full season of ToQGer aired rather than some janky hodge podge of the last two stations.
|
Easy come easy go, looking forward to the premiere none the less.
|
... Well worse things have happened on the 22nd.
Me, for instance. |
Oh come on!!!!!!! Just release the final episode on BD/DVD.

Still though Sentai still aims at a completely different crowd of kids and its not that easy to market DVDs to them like it would likely be with peole that watched DB. plus thats DB Kai is just a remastered show thats already available and the manga is also very well known in Japan. Comparing DB to Sentai really doesnt work since even if kids never saw the last episode they could just read the manga which they probably already have. |
Oh right lol

It was to be expected that they would push everything back a week and if someone is really that upset about Ninninger starting a week late...grow up.
|
Anyone who thinks releasing the final episode of any show on DVD/Blu-ray - especially a Japanese show, where they just don't buy media that way as much as the rest of us - is awfully arrogant and ignorant. And kind of an ass. Especially given the reason for the delay.
I'm looking forward to Ninninger too, since I'm hoping it's a Sentai I'll actually want to keep up with, but let ToQGer actually finish first. |

Must... react... like... adult...
*tantrum* (I also can't help but notice that this wouldn't bother me if our current Sentai were still Kyoryuger.) |
One more week is fine by me. I have enjoyed this past years series, but that's me.
|
I hope this doesn't mean Ninninger loses an episode from production.
They're starting later than usual but they still (probably) have to end in the usual timeframe... |
Don't watch ToQger. Don't care for Ninninger. I am however taking a few moments to think of the Goto Family in their time of grief. Unbelievable.
