Max Factory 1/350 Scale Pacific Rim Model Kits
 

A little random, but Max Factory announced that they've acquired the Pacific Rim license at Wonder Fest they showed a prototype of a 1/350 scale Gypsy Danger which is apparently a model kit.

Are these taller then Gundam kits?

Looking at the size so much for affordable Pacific Rim figures with more pose ability than the NECA ones.

Though as a model, it's not going to be anything I'll be picking up... But, anyone but NECA giving them a shot is a good start to me.

This figure is 8.9" tall, give or take. Gipsy Danger is 260 feet tall or 3120 inches. 3120/350 (the scale)=8.914..........

The idea of them making kits is odd, but it sounds interesting.

It's Japan and a giant robot. It's what they do.

I'm fine with my Gypsy 2.0 but if these turn out to be better than that then maybe...

Why is this so strange? They've made model kits before. They don't just make figmas...

Because when somebody says "robot model kit," they are far, far from any companies that spring to mind. Sorry for not being as familiar with their other work when it's not the stuff constantly shoved in your face?

Very interesting. If it's affordable it might be worth picking up.

Glad to see Pacific Rim getting figures other than the subpar NECA ones. If these kits don't cost too much, I will definitely pick them up.

What specifically about 8/9 inches makes it not affordable?

so a bit taller than your average MG? I have the main 5 (w/ coyote tango) from NECA already but being a model kit, this is combining the very things I love. I'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, about an inch or so above your typical 1/100 Gundam MG.

Too bad we couldn't get PR models in-scale with Gundams. But then they'd be over 30 inches tall.

I'm not into kits. I guess I will wait until if we will ever get SRC Pacific Rim figures.

cool, i've been waiting for these to be in model kits. Though, i'll still prefer Bandai to make them.

Hopefully this will sell well and they'll do the other Jagers.
