What new direction will Drive take this week??

Even if some people aren't excited or have dropped Drive, I am still excited for it! I love Lt. Otta! :D

I´m always excited for more Drive. Even if its just because I hope every week that it will get better :lol

Hey, I'm still with Drive. I really want it to stop stalling and get into gear :D

Otta is the skeptic one that didnt believe the Roidmudes existed and got thrown off a building by one.

Meh, this episode is weak in my opinion. The Special Unit's Caption is missing 3 episodes consecutively, if there isn't any trouble to the actor then it is hella dumb plot. What the heck is Special Unit that always have their member/boss absent?

For some reasons, although this is Lt. Otta's focused episode, I still couldn't find anything appeal about him.

About fighting, everything is nerfed. They just suddenly nerfed Drive & Mach in the battle, making the MOTW powerful with the tiny stick.

And wow, KR Drive is sponsored by Apple, lol.

To be fair the show wasn't really going anywhere without him either lol

Really liked this episode. Its about time we get some actual character development for some of the other characters and to be honest I really like Lt. Otta when the show actually does something with him. Being Charcterized as a big klutz that really takes pride in being a cop and takes his job very seriously. Thats something that never really shined through before and makes the comedy bits that he has in this episode much more tolerable.

I also like that we get more Cop stuff in this episode. This felt like a police drama for kids that had super heroes in it and thts what I wanted this show to be from the very start. The case is interesting too and while reminiscent of a similiar case in Double approaches it very differently.

I cant wait to see the conclusion of this case since even though the twist made it look like Tachibana was Judge I get the feeling there is still something more to it.

I Agree, my respect for Lt. Otta just went up a lot, I hope he gets the spotlight again one day.

His goofyness just works alot better in my opinion when its just an expect of his character and not the only thing his character is about. And I hope he learns about Shinnosuke being Drive next episode. It wouldnt make any sense for him not to find out about it.

Yea, He deserves to know the truth XD and also its cool to see more of Rinna's inventions, I can see her making her own rider down the road

Yeah its cool that her own inventions are getting more advnced now and that she isnt just building stuff that was designed by Steinbelt.

I think it'd be best if Otta knows Shinnosuke is Drive and Gou is Mach. That way they can assist him on some crime missions that can't be solved easily.

Its for the best that we get everyone in on the secret now over the next few episodes. There was no need at all to stretch this sideplot for so long and its even more pointless to stretch it any further.

I really like this episode, It is developing characters that really need more time spent on them.

Although drive still has issues of stretching out plots for long er than they need to be and I would like to for the rest of the team to know the secrets of Drive especially since well was there any reasons given for why Shinnosuke can't say he is drive and especially when he doesn't make a great deal of effort to hide it.

There was during the first episodes. The Police mistrusted Kamen Rider at first and Shinnosuke wasnt sure how the force would react to this revelations especially since he works together with the man or rather belt that created the Roidmudes in the first place.

Meh the secret identity thing never works in Rider to begin with. Shotaro, Eiji, Gentaro and Haruto too would have been exposed by anyone after spending more than five minutes with them. So I´m really not that bothered by it in Drive. Its just not something you have to stretch for more than ten episodes in a show like this one.

Fair enough, I guess I must not have remembered those moments from those earlier episodes.

Also with the secret Identity thing I really do hope it doesn't get stretched out any longer but then quite a few things are being stretched out in this show.

They didnt put big emphasis on it but the moments were there even if they didnt happen all that often.

Thanks for reminding me of that, will have to remember to look for those when I go back to watch through Drive.

It is nice to know that they did add those elements into the series.

The secret identity thing bothers me in Drive because Shinnosuke openly has his henshin device equipped at all times and he's the only person that drives anything that looks remotely like Drive's vehicle. I guess with the latter you can argue that nobody sees him actually drive the car unless it's somebody who already knows who he is.

Thats just Rider being bad at secret identites again. Shotaro constantly used all his memory gadgets in public and rode around on his bike and noone ever called him out on being Kamen Rider. Same with Eiji, Gentaro and Haruto never actually trying to hide the fact they are Kamen Rider but noone ever noticing it.

It doesnt make it less dumb but its not like its the first time it ever happened.

So Otta is shocked that his mentor is Judge Time all the time! But why his mentor doing this to bad people by using Roidmude?! No wonder why Kamen Rider Drive is Kamen Rider meet Knight Rider because not only Roidmude are bad guy but normal people can be bad guy too similar to Knight Rider.

Gou! Calm down! Just because Chase stole your bike doesn't mean that you have to run for it! It's just a bike! Ask Harley Hendrickson to get you a new one!

Good episode this week. I liked the investigation and the new backstory for Otta; when this show actually allows itself to be serious it can be really engaging and enjoyable. I'm also happy to see Chase used sparingly instead of having him show up halfway through just to waste time.

So. I guess they got that Deadzone problem solved in two episodes? No biggy? Aight. Okay.

"Instead of having him go crazy again, let's just subtly turn him back into Type Speed like it never happened!"

Hmmm I dont think deadheat is fully over with as theres still a super deadheat, hopefully, itll be the deadheat we all wanted lol

Well Dead Heat going out of control was never taken all that seriously it was just a joke. And honestly I rather have it gone instead of going through the same joke every single time they use Dead Heat.

And by the way he never got turned back into Type Speed by it. What turned him back into Type Speed was Chase shooting him with the Ride Crosser.

I like to think there is more to Chase and what's he's been up to. I'm probably hoping for too much, but I like to pretend he shot Drive so he didn't go crazy. Maybe his combining with Gou's bike has more meaning as well. As always, they have me on the edge of my seat wishing the next episode was right now.

Him and Mach both get hit. Instead of knocking him out of his transformation like Gou, he's just all-0f-a-sudden Speed in the next cut. Even if there was "reason" it's still lazy.

All though, Kamen Rider has done that a few times before... Namely, I can remember Gremlin throwing Wizard into a wall and conveniently turning him back from Infinity to Flame. But I seem to remember there was at least some kind of special effect...

Of course its lazy I´m not arguing that. Just that it wasnt done by Dead Heat.

And yeah you get that all the time in Rider. Its even extremely common to have it the other way around. Like Takumi transforming into Faiz Blaster Form in the Heisei vs Showa movie without using his upgraded weapon for it.

I like to think that the dead heat forms an armor around Speed and Mach, that's how I saw it here at least.

This was actually a really, really good episode I thought. See, Drive is at its best when the comedy is secondary to who the characters truly are. We still had fun with this episode but it wasn't obnoxiously in-your-face. I wish it had more episodes like that.

I, like Switchblade, also like that Mashin Chaser was actually used sparingly this episode instead of the show trying to force a Drive/Mashin Chaser rivalry. That makes Chase seem more like a legitimate threat waiting for the moment to strike rather than cannon fodder for Drive's new toys.
