I haven't seen 10 beginning to end, so let's just roll with what I have.

Now I have started Zyu,Gekiranger,Dekaranger,Boukenger,Jetman, and that's about it. Now I haven't actually besides ToQger and Kyoryuger actually watched a sentai in about 1&1/2 years, so, might go back to watching these shows.

And that's it. I've seen bits and pieces of other Sentai series (and the entirety of Go-Busters), but none of them really did anything for me, at best. At worst, I completely hated them (Magiranger, Goseiger, Kyoryuger). At the end of the day, I just don't think Sentai really appeals to me all that much.

This is based off all Sentai's fully subbed so far except for Battle Fever J, Maskman, Kakuranger and Megaranger (which I'm yet to watch).

Damn I'm seeing a ton of Kyoryuger. Was it really that good? I've only seen the Deathryuger movie.

I would suggest you to watch the first three episodes.

I thought it was average, personally. It had some good moments, it had a lot of energy going for it, but the villains were bland and the show was all about Daigo than anyone else. It is by far the weakest of the dinosaur themed series, but you could do a whole lot worse than it.

Honestly, I'd probably put Kyoryuger on my worst list. Not THE worst or anything, but I found it rather painful to watch. That said, I say watch some of it for yourself and decide if YOU like it.

...OR just watch Dino Charge. It's much better.



My list. Top 5 or so get mix around often, so one might move up or down next time I'm asked. Two do not have complete subs. Gingaman is nearly complete and it's quite good. Very Zyuranger-y if the focus was on characters rather than plot. Fiveman is there tentatively until I've seen more I would call good. Until then, the pure insanity of episode 4 earns it the 10th spot.

9. Dairanger, featuring skateboarding hijinks.

Been a while since I have done one of these.
Alrighty here are mine at the moment.

1. Carranger: The Gaki no Tsukai of super sentai.
2. Liveman: Before Nakata was an overlord king he was prof. Pias and showed people girls can rock blue as good as boys.
3. Megaranger: The Saved By the Bell of super sentai.
4. Ohranger: It had its hurdles but still awesome.
5. Shinkenger: They said it first, the provincially approved samurai sentai.
6. Timeranger: Best show to close the 20th century.
7. ToQger: IMAGINAAAAAAAATTTTTIIIIOOONNNNN!!!!!!
8. Go-onger: Fun show.
9. Gekiranger: Their kung fu is better than yours.
10. Flashman: If this was out these days it would be a shaky cam fictional documentary.

We've only had four episodes of Dino Charge so far. You can't say that just yet.

The hell I can't. That's already 4 more good episodes than Kyoryuger. I know a good show when I see it.

DC is not bad, but definitely not as good as Kyoryuger. It is certainly better than SMF, MF, and Samurai.

I can. And it is. I mean, if nothing else, there was an episode that aired this week that was focused on one of the non-Red Rangers and nothing about it in any way tied back into Red's story or was co-opted by Red before the end of the episode.

A lobotomy is better than those shows. I don't see how bringing those up makes Kyoryuger look good.

Is it so hard to say: "I enjoy Dino Charge more" and just state your personal opinion as what it is?
Kyoryuger is far from being terribly written and it's okay to like it or just don't, there's no need to call it bad just because you didn't enjoy it. Just say "it wasn't my cup of tea" and we're all fine with it.

Also, you guys talk like Kyoryuger only had character episodes for Daigo. But actually, most episodes didn't focus on Daigo at all. Yes, when he took the spotlight, he did appear like he's omnipresent, but that doesn't mean it was all just Daigo. I've seen the show twice (technically, even three times, if you count the raws on stream) and I never felt that Daigo's presence was too overwhelming.

And "I like the Pink Ranger" is no argument to say that Dino Charge is better than Kyoryuger because Amy was pretty cool too and there's a hell lot of people who like her and still think Dino Charge is great.

Do you really need to argue semantics in a thread that's entirely opinion based anyway? Of course people who don't like something are going to call it bad. That doesn't mean they speak for the entire audience so it's not worth getting so up in arms about.

I guess it's because I'm annoyed by that attitude in general lately.

You're the only one here telling people they can't have their own opinions in their own words. Everyone else has a decent attitude here.

It's cool. But I think the reason DC will not be as good is becuase DC is dumbed down a tad and it doesn't have an awesome henshin sequence.

My problem with Kyoryuger is that every character episode in same incorporated Daigo. When Nissan (the best ranger of that season, IMO) had doubts about his power and ability to protect his family, it was Daigo that helped convince him that he could do it. Itchy fought for a lord that looked exactly like Daigo. Amy was part of the most half-assed love triangle in tv history. Ian a d Souji were specialist with their weapons and had stories that explained it, but they were never better than Daigo. Only when Souji was given Torin's sword, was he given a one-up on Daigo, but then again, Daigo did defeat Deboss by himself in space.

Everything revolved around Daigo in that season and it really kept it from being an even more enjoyable season. I did enjoy it, but the obsession with Daigo was overwhelming and off putting.
