I watched through the raw and thought it was a good episode, I feel that Drive has actually started to shift into top gear in the past few episode even thought there have been a few problems.

Formula looks pretty cool. The gigantic front splitter on the chest is off-putting, but I bet SHF downsizes it (and the tires on the arm) and makes it look awesome. Digging the white/blue theme with black/yellow trim.

Trailer cannon looks oversized and ridiculous, but in a good way for now. Reminds me of the DJ gun.

The lack of backstory for Formula (it's overpowered! but now its under the control!) is pretty glaring, but at least we moved the plot along with Chase.

Maybe he can finally do more than randomly attack Drive.

Overall, I found the episode to be good and well rounded, I felt bad for brain but his cries we hilarious xD and Kyu with his "evil spirit banishing" lmao. On a serious note I think it was chase's break gunner that exploded after his defeat.

This was the best episode yet. So, so, sooo many feels. I just can't express my feelings from scene to scene. God I love Drive.

Actually in the promo for next episode when Kiriko is with Chase she has his Break gunner so that is still intact.

My guess is that the explosion was for the viral cores exploding and Chase untransforming, well that is my guess anyways.

Since Kamen Rider Drive and other got hand in Chase's bike, Chase is likely lost his viral core so he cannot be Machine Chaser anymore.

I wonder if he freed from Medic's reprogrammed thing?

Chase should still be able to be Machine chaser because the break gunner is still around but we will have to see what the chaser's path is from this point on wards.

Given that Chase is programmed to protect humanity and he has signs of that returning he might break out of Medic's programming eventually.

I loved this episode. It was a good to move chases plot along and I like that he survived and that everyone except go is willing to fight in his name. As formula it's cool and has awesome design, even though I wish it didn't have that thing on the chest.

It's called Type Formula! Duh! It was supposed based on Formula Racing Car.

I know but they could've left the front off the armor.

How can it be call Type Formula if doesn't have it?

downsize the F1 nose or just make it a flat image, or make it a backpack

Actually they might have been able to put halves of the front spoiler on his feed as armor, then a massive F1 spoiler as a winged backpack. And instead of tires wrapped AROUND his forearm, they coulda have gone with wheels as a shield.

I'm actually shocked we don't have wheels as a shield. It woulda been the most convenient place to put such a shape

Really great episode, and I hope the upcoming Kamen Rider Chaser gets to finish Medic.

I can deal with Type Formula now, the two wheels and the heavy Trailer Cannon really complements how bulky the suit is.

Dream Vegas already handled that shield gimmick though. Yes it's not static tires that stick on Drive but still can be counted as shield

I think this is only time I laugh at him because he just reference The Walking Dead! The TV Show from AMC!

I VERY much doubt that was a reference. The term "walking dead" has been around for WAY longer than that show, man.

I'm pretty sure that's because everyone forgot. :lol

I honestly try to ignore anything involved with the Chief.

A good episode overall. But it's time for the plot to advance to something else now (like centering on Shinnosuke): Oh look, it's Chase. Oh, he's becoming more human, Mach is pissed off. Oh, Medic scramble him again, Kiriko is sad. Oh, Brain is pissed off. Oh, Chase wants to kill Drive. Repeat.

On the design, I get Type Formula is supposed to be the coolest so far, but my brain keeps screaming "IMPRACTICAL" ! I really pity the actor in this suit :)

And suddenly we go into Faiz levels of dramatic license between this episode and next. Oh, poor Chase, we don't know why he's being picked on so much..... smh.

Actually, I think I remember half the scenery used in this episode was in Faiz.

I really...really hope that next week when he gets his actual powers, he returns his Proto Drive motto. That would be nice.

I can't just wrap my mind over Fumika Baba's acting ability. She's only 19, and she plays the character for Medic better than some of the veterans that have been in other series. If she weren't so young, I might have a Candelilla type crush on her. Whoever did the writing on her part did it in a way that she pulls off the sheer malevolence really well.

What? She's that young? I thought she's in early-middle 20s. She portrayed the villain so well.

eh, maybe in IRL she was just an EVIL girl...you know, pushed the other girl who was going to get the part down a flight of stairs and such...

I actually think this is the best Drive episode yet. A lot of emotional weight and it feels like the plot is actually going somewhere. We also had some great moments with Gou and Kiriko.


Hopefully Shinnosuke starts getting some character development though.

Pretty good episode - some development with Chase's plotline and reasonably emotional stuff. I also like Formula's appearance and powerset (it's kind of goofy but I like that) but the episode is let down by the introduction. Just "I made this offscreen but it's too dangerous"? I'm sure they could have come up with something better.
