Is this Deka's 10th anniversary or something? They usually have some sort of reason like that to do a special release like this.

Dekaranger on Blu-ray? But Dekaranger came out in 2004. We didn't have HD back in that year.

WHy not Gekiranger?

Because Dekaranger is one of the most popular Sentai series of the 21st century in Japan and Gekiranger isn't.

It's like the only sentai ever that was proposed to have a 2nd season. It was HUGE.

No; Deka began in '04 so they're a bit late for anniversary.

It was a widely successful series though...

I am so ridiculously excited for these sets!!

And yeah, Dekaranger was super popular. Toei seriously considered a second season, the series was the first in ages to have its Power Rangers version dubbed into Japanese (because SPD was also awesome, come on) and a bunch of actors made appearances in Gokaiger. Not to mention the many Dekaranger Gokai Changes and its appearance in Akibaranger.

I'm surprised Toei hasn't made another space sci-fi series since Dekaranger.

Fans loved Dekaranger. I remember on the IGN forums when TV-Nihon first subbed it in 2004 that fans would talk about on how amazing it was. I do remember the Sentai purist back then hope that Disney would not adapted it and fear it won't be dark :lol :rolleyes.

Too bad HD didn't exist back in 2004.
