The secret's out! Shinnosuke's double life is exposed!

I heard that Shinnosuke's father is supposed to show up in this episode. Does anyone know if that's true?

I looked into it and according to page I found about it in tumblr there will be a new character showing up who is Gen's boss and has a connection to Shinnosuke's father.

So no Shinnosuke's father will be not be up according to the information I have.

Wow! Really good episode IMO, it also left me thirsty for next sunday lol

I like that the story seems to be going places, Drive's indentity being unveiled, drive's old partner being back in things, the appearance of roidmude 001 things are looking good so far.

I reallly reallly enjoyed this episode, I love the special department guys, Gen and Kyu's reactions to Shinnosuke being Drive were amazing.

One problem I have with this episode was that I feel the situation wasn't dire enough, like it was well done but it would have been nice if they were in more danger. Like if it was more dangerous the absence of Gou during that fight would have been less jarring. Now I don't usually like the term jobbing, but man WHERE WAS GOU THE ENTIRE FIGHT AFTER SHINNOUSUKE TRANSFORMED?

I actually think it should have been a two parter, like it is but the cliffhanger should have been Shinnoisuke transforming (but then again I'm not sure I could have waited another week for what happens next week)

But regardless of that it was just a joy to watch and would have been a great place to reintroduce the opening theme as battle music again. I didn't realise how much I missed it until the NINDRIVE special.

When is it subbed

Best episode of KR Drive all season. They brought back the finisher from Episode 1, Shinnosuke spams Rider Kicks using Type Speed ricocheting off of the Trideron circling the Roimude.

Chase gets closer to becoming part of the team.

Special Crimes Unit learns about Drive's identity . . . but begs the questions:
1) Why bother keeping it a secret
2) how the hell did nobody realize the guy rolling around in the trideron wearing a bracelet was Drive? And the fucking base is under the police station? really?

1. There was one episode Mr.Belt said that they can't trust anyone easily. It's understandable, there's another episode which there was a Roidmude version of Kyu, if they carelessly let people know then the Roidmude should know the base of Drive.

2. Let assume people in Drive's world are not as smart as us then.

Also bear in mind that most Roidmude spam slowdowns so few people have even seen the Kamen Riders in action.

I really liked this one. While I think it's one story that might have justified splitting into multiple episodes they still pulled it off well and it's cool that Drive's identity is now known to basically the entire world (were there any other Riders who were similarly public? A few, such as the Gaim ones, were public in their area but I can't think of which would be more known). The human-roidmude combo was a cool strategy and the reveal was suitably forced (although it could have been made more dire - give Mach someone to fight somewhere else or have him be knocked out of Rider form first maybe?).

Plus the team learning the secrets was pretty funny. Chief knowing about it does explain how they got away with putting the base there.

And a hint of things to come: Chase helping out a little (with his rider form to come next episode) and a brief glimpse of 001.

Mach didn't have the upgrade neccessary to remove the roidmude from the human safely, and Shinnosuke didn't seem to have any real trouble with the fight. Makes sense that Gou would hang back unless needed.

I thought this was Drive's best episode in quite some time. That's not saying much, given my open disdain for the show, but it's true. The last half of the show with Shinnosuke's open transformation and the reactions from all of the other characters was really good and I actually think this shift in the status quo may open up a lot of possibilities, especially with Chaser coming along next week. Honestly, the biggest thing that got me was that the captain has been in on this the entire damn time. I find it hard to believe that guy is secretly competent, but I'm willing to see where they go with it.

That said, I did actually kinda hate the first part of the episode. The anti-Special Units captain was incredibly annoying, especially since we just did this exact same fucking plot about a month ago. Between that and the usual terrible humor I was really not liking this episode at first. Totally pulled around at the end, though.

This was pretty good. Except for the Gou being completed over shadowed again, and only after one episode. :(

Aside from that, looking for to episode 26, and overall fantastic episode. I'm glad to see the appearance of 001 and what seems to be a more multi-layered plot developing.
