A guy in Japan is dressing up as Kamen Rider 1 to patrol local streets for drunk drivers. He's even sanctioned by local authorities.

Not quite as endearing a tale as the Kamen Rider who delivers Christmas presents to orphans, but still pretty awesome. :)

Because the government would see them as a threat to the safety and security of others, taking away the job of the local police force, and lock them up for vigilantism.
