Why is there such an issue for authenticity? I don't get that...

If it was an issue of needing an American influence for a Sentai series, just call in Austin St John or someone equally Power Ranger-esque. I'm kidding of course, but I don't know where we cross the fine cyan line on this one. And if you didn't get that joke, you didn't watch KyoRyuger.

Not to be a sidetrack or get into it, but it's also a little telling about the cultural change toward Western influences having more of an impact and becoming acceptable if we're seeing this type of idoms used for childrens shows produced and aired in Japan. There was a time when this wasn't the case.

Regardless, I like what I am seeing so far.
Again, his English will take some time to get used to, but I look forward to seeing his debut henshin and fight choreography.

What's his deal?
 

I don't understand why he did what he did at the end of the episode. I was like- but you're a Ninninger... AAAH. Sidenote- I got Bison King coming by Wednesday :D

Ok so I don't want to say too much about what happened in this episode BUT what I will say is the following-

a) Starninger's suit and Bison King are AWESOME
b) To anyone who did see this ep already... WTF was that all about?!?
c) um... dat Bison King tho...

If anyone else has seen this, please let me know what you thought about the ending of the episode.

It was good as a character focused episode.

As for the new elements... I had a bit of worrying about that 6th ranger. Cowboy-Ninja is meh. Cowboy-ninja with stoopid accent and random engrish is disapointing. Interestingly it seems he gots his own agenda, so it can possibly turn well in the end.

Man i hate sixth rangers who are a joke. But i will try to enjoy it.

I quite liked this episode: the character focus and the magic-ninja stuff were nice. Combining it with the Star plot was a bit questionable but they pulled it off fine.

On the subject of Star, his English comes off as quite weird but it works given how absurd his thematic is anyway. I like his robot and he seems potentially interesting but this could easily become annoying once he joins the group properly.

I really like how Star Ninja is starting of as a rival to the team and learning more about the End Shuriken is really putting life into the series for me. Ninninger was feeling by the books at the start trying to be the energetic type of Sentai like the last two (which I love) but now with Star Ninja I feel like the shows personality shine and if this Star Ninja arc and what ever follows stay strong Ninninger should turn out fine at the end

Yup, I'm done with this show. Might come back many weeks later, but as it stands, I just can't tolerate this show. The characters are just plain bad. The fights are actually pretty decent this year. The mecha are 50/50 as so are the toys. Well at least I have my KR, DC and other things to do bedsides so yay!

any ideas on how the hell starninger was able to use the hurricanger attack? I mean I thought he was working for the grandfather so somehow star got it from him but that is no longer a possability

I thought that made no sense too...

Toei loves using puns. That attack is Hurricane Ja/Hurricanger comes from his shuriken just like Mera Mera Ja... from 5-element Shuriken. So it's either a new attack that coincidently the same as Hurricanger's or an attack homage to Hurricanger itself.

the 6th ranger pops up ether 17 or 18 or in the early 20 episodes or 30
from the looks of it he looks like an anti hero
im going to guess that he will become a good guy ether in 17 or above
