I love how they made the helmet stripe a mini-upgrade.

That was bad ass I love how they used all of the green ranger weapons as well as dark ryu.

That was, if nothing else, entertaining
Weird how Tommy got the sword of darkness though.

Totally forgot about Dark Ryu. Love the dagger's upgrade, and that would be a great movie Power Suit.

I just don't agree with the results. I get it, JDF, yada yada. But it's Ryu. And from the video, it's pretty apparent who got more hits in on whom. Feels like another popularity fight that happened over the weekend.

This was such crap. Especially his over-acting when the helmet came off. The sole good thing I'll say about this is, it's amazing to me that an internet show put more thought into their suit than Saban did.

Honestly I prefer the White Ranger/Scorpion fight.

I utterly loved this! JDF is a God among men. Whoever played Ryu was hot as hell. Green Chi blasts were awesome! Sword of Darkness action!! I give this mutha fucka a 10!!!

This was awesome but I put my money with Ryu. The only reason JDF won was he got he follower to vote for him. Suit was awesome but even the people that guys asked at con most said ryu.

They better not use Red Zeo next... Can we use a different Ranger next time at least?

That was pretty cool. I always enjoy the production value that these videos have. And, if I'm honest, no matter how much I keep hearing about how JDF is a total fuckwad, I still always get a charge out of seeing Tommy again.

Oh man, that suit..... God its so painful saban or toei did come up with that.

That's not a bad way to stylize the suit without making it look like rubber bat armor and still like something that you can move in.

I've seen plenty of scrub Ryu players. Must not have been Daigo playing as him :P


I just actually watched it... Almost stopped as soon as I heard "RI-ew wins!"

The fight itself was great, but it's typical JDF. He had to be the one to start the fight, and the helmet just HAD to explode to show his face.

Honestly, I would have loved it if the Green Ranger got in trouble and other Green Rangers came in to help him win, but whatever.

Overall pretty good.

Yay? Of course Tommy wins because GREEN RANGER OMG, but it was a cool fight.

I think the Green Ranger could have legitimately been able to defeat Ryu. Although they never used the full arsenal of both contendors. Ryu never used the Shun Goku Satsu or the Power of Nothingness (which is understandable because it's evil vs evil) and the Green Ranger did not teleport even once during the combat sequence (only once during entrance). I hope Ryu uses the Shun Goku Satsu to finish the Green Ranger in the alternate ending. If both were given their full arsenal then the Shun Goku Satsu could be evaded with a teleport move form Green Ranger and he could back stab Ryu. If Ryu had the Power of Nothingness with his Hadoken blast then it would have easily destroyed the Sword of Darkness and greatly damaged the Green Ranger (maybe even killing him).

Overall entertaining, but nothing drool-worthy.

First to admit I'm not a fan of JDF, but that was a cool fight. Nice choreography, production values, and I'm quite in love with that suit. If they did something like that for the movie I'd be pleased as punch.

I think Green Ranger would beat Ryu in a fight. But did Tommy have to be so brutal in the end? It just seems to go against being a Power Ranger.

But it was all in good fun, so fun it was. :)

I have to agree with you on that. It's recognizable as the MMPR/Zyu Green Ranger, but there's some great detail put into the suit that makes it pop. Although I feel Green Ranger looks better WITHOUT the silver stripe.

To be fair all of BITS's Super Power Beatdowns boil down to asking people who would win and sometimes people choose something because of superficial reasoning.

In the end it was enjoyable, but yet another example of the planet sized ego of Jason David Frank.

We have no one to blame but the fans ourselves.

Super power beatdown is everything I hope screwattack's death battles could be. If SPBD would ditch the voting and integrate analysis of death battles, it would be perfect

Guys, to be fair they've had Tommy only go up against fighting game characters, who while not bad by any stretch of the imagination, usually are just street-level bruisers. Then again, I'd like to see any Ranger try their luck against Devil Jin, Nightmare, or Oni (considering the shit he pulled in Asura's Wrath).

The choreography in these never disappoints me. I really liked it, either end, its a fun watch regardless. Especially like the suit redesigns they've done. Classic with a little more edge. Hope they'll do one with JYB next. I really want them to mix it up with other rangers than JDF or even MMPR.
