Kamen Rider Drive Episode 30- "Who Talks About The Real Culprit?" Discussion
Conflict breaks out between Shinnosuke & Gou. What is the cause of it all?!
As always you can view this episode via live stream on Saturday by heading over to Taima TV. They play other miscellaneous programs up until the live broadcast starts. Live Streams are at 6:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on Saturdays. |
Drive is becoming one of my favorite shows. I hope all this build-up has an incredible payoff because it has potential to be very close to Gaim in terms of where it ends up.

Oh my God! Gou got iceflake by Roidmude 001!
I saw a preview where Shinnosuke got iceflake by Roidmude 001 to alter his memory and the only way to get his memory back is FINAL FORM!!!! Anyway this show become more complex in term of storyline! And I thought Drive was a comedy show like Carranger or Fourze! But guess not. |
Next episode Shinnosuke will get iceflake :(

I fell behind on Drive so I watched the last 2 episodes along with the new one to catch up and... meh. This show's not doing anything for me anymore. The episodes have gotten a lot better again, but there's still so much lame stuff. I basically watch the episodes so I can finish the show, don't feel like being entertained by this anymore.
I'm not interested in the whole 001-business as well, because I feel like it will end in something we've already seen plenty, don't think this show has the balls to do something great with the setup. |
Dunno what you think, but this is getting better and better. Not sure what the hell happened at the start of the series, but Drive is quickly becoming a strong contender.
|
It's like Drive stretched out Gaim's first 10 or so episodes over the course of 20+ episodes and then started edging closer to Gaim's mid-portion.
|
So this show is worth watching finally? Should I just skip to this episode and continue from here.

Y'know, you probably should have started watching a couple episodes back, because I think just about every major character has had development, and all the annoying side characters have lost their annoyingness. Sure we got a new annoying character, but he's antagonistic and is victim to a surprisingly funny joke this episode. Funny for me at least. |

I actually liked Drive a lot more when it was silly but had interesting cases. I feel like that's the problem: They tightened up the plot so fast instead of having a smooth curve and now I don't even bother anymore. I liked the charm of the show at the beginning, then it got boring and silly, now it's starting to get interesting but I'm still stuck. If they do have a nice conclusion it could help me like this show as a whole, but if the end is as weak as I expect it to be I'll file this case under “Mixed Bag”. |

Chase is still the best part of the show. |
Yeah, that's no doubt. Chase is the best part of this series, and the ending part of this episode highlighted a very simple thing: He's getting character development!

I really hope they go about taking down 001 smoothly and not repeat what happened with brain cause if Shinnosuke gets caught attacking the minister being kicked from the cops will be the lest of his worries

Not only 001 is happens to be Freeze Roidmude but he have ability to alter people's memory or I like to called "Iceflake" 001 already got Gou and now Shinnosuke but the only way for Shinnosuke to get his memory back is FINAL FORM! I predict that 001 won't be destroyed since he is leader of Roidmudes but who knows |
Chase lying about Gou is a bit disappointing, it feels it's only to drag the plot around . Well, it's nice to see him more human as time goes though.
|
After reading this thread, I was actually excited to check this episode out. Unfortunately, I don't get the praise. They're still dragging some things out and while an honest to god plot has actually developed lately, I don't find it very captivating. Also, while I'm happy that Chase is finally on the right team now, I think I liked him better (or at least found him more interesting) the first time he was coming around and more of an anti-hero + the suit was waaaay cooler than the spaceman spiff thing he's wearing now. Kind of wish he'd gone back to the proto-drive suit. In fact, all of the original suit designs: Drive/Proto Drive, Mach, Machine Chaser were so much better designs than any of the so-called "upgrades" we've gotten. Just so many things that bother me with this series and most of the good, like the Chief actually being a decent character have come too late in the game. I hate to say it, at this point I'm only watching it because it's what's on.

Who shoukd Chase go after Heart or Brain hmmm.

Heart, though being a bad guy and a 'Kill-All-Humans' kind of chap, seems to care for his fellow Roidmudes, and actually seems like a kind of person you can reason with, or even make pretty decent friends. Brain, on the other hand, is a suck-up who doesn't live up to his name, being technologically showed up by another nomical hypocrite and the first Roidmude, and has a tendency to do the more evil things. And I don't like him. |
I have to say these past few episodes of Drive have been stellar. Rider at its finest.
|
Just caught up...and well...damn...easily the show picked up when they went public with the identity. Total shift to second gear (HA!)
I do like they kind of went back to basics with the fights, using the tires again as opposed to just the forms. Why did Chase lie? No idea...but loved seeing him Rider Kick again...Now can Chaser form still use the Viral cores? That would be kind of cool to see... |
