More people are vanishing and Roimude 001 seems to be the cause. Is Shinnosuke strong enough to stop him?

But still, nice episode all the way around.

I was expecting this... I was even PREPARED for this... but I still cried my eyes out. Drive is getting better and better lately.

this was REALLY well done...had the whole "final episode" feel...then...BAM...

Seriously, who ever took over the writing in the ep 20 and on has done an amazing job. I especially love the direction they have taken the chief.

Gotta say, this was quite possibly the best episode of the season. Damn fine writing.

Part of me wants to keep Shinnosuke gone so it has more impact. But I know that won't happen. Obvously the kid's dad will have something to do with Tridoron mode.

There is no way he is gone but that scene at the end and the way the preview felt I don't think I can convince my self he is okay until I see next weeks episodes. I don't think I can sleep till next weeks episode

No one has taken over the writing. It's still the same three writers as before, Riku Sanjo, Keiichi Hasegawa and Junko Komura. The directors don't seem to have changed either.

Damn! This is brutal darker end of this episode ever!

That's German or whatever music they use at the end make the ending more scarier!

Can't really hear what language it is, but it doesn't sound German to me. Pity that they didn't credit the song specifically, could be an already existing piece of classic music.

I strongly believe that after the first couple episodes they were just writing enough filler so that the series could span it's allotted run. I'd much rather have that kind of thing happen toward the start of the series (as it did here) than closer to the end. Now that all of the dilly-dally is out of the way, the remainder of Drive is allowed to kick it into top gear.

I really did not see that ending coming.

Wow... so spoilers ahead, but:

Do they really have the balls to pull this through? If they do this show has completely redeemed itself in my eyes. From what I'm getting from the next episode teaser, the Tridoron itself transforms. Although that could be meant metaphorically, not literally.

Still: If Shinnosuke is really dead, like really, and they upload his consciousness into the Tridoron and give him a robotic body or something... that would be beyond awesome.

But what am I even talking about, in the end it's all a fake for some reason and Shinnosuke just pops up like nothing happened.

Kiriko takes up the belt that she has been unable to use so far due to her physical limitations and goes past them, and takes over the role as Drive.

This would probably not happen, generally the main rider always dies in some way and comes back to life due to something, but it would seriously make Drive go down as having one of the best twists in a rider show to date.

Not only that, its clear that the show has a lot of female fans and young girl fans, it would be a major thing for the series if it did happen.

It will not, but wishful thinking is wishful thinking.

But seriously, I think it would be awesome. Make him a robot, or even better: A cyborg. They have the technology for that, they made a spare body for Krim, Cyberoid ZZZ, which was used by Lupin, so they can totally do it for Shinnosuke.

Or, as I said, cyborg. That was the initial theme for Kamen Rider and I would love to see it again, especially this late into the story. They could also add another theme by having Shinnosuke struggling with his new existence, I know that's something we've had plenty in Rider as of late, but I still want it.

That's the problem with the main rider immortality problem. It will just kill the death sequence and the tension they built. [pun not intended]

The death part was somewhat expected because of what freeze said, he needs humiliation in order to evolve.

What's gonna happen to Krim tho. Can't wait for the next ep.

Wellllll, take in mind that the original character, still died, and all the bonds and growth they made during the series also went away, it is a good ending in some ways, seeing as Shinji got his wish trough Ren, but at the same time it is a sad ending because two characters go back to being dead due to child abuse and a grandmother loses her family.

It is also very possible that the problems some characters had, are still there, so some of them will still die etc.

Seeing as how Gentarou died and was literally brought back to life through the power of friendship, Shinnosuke will be back.

Episode as a whole was fantastic. One thing I absolutely loved was how Gen-san's running gag of mispronouncing Roidmude was actually a plot point and not just a joke. Like, I didn't expect that to be the case as all.

It's great that they made the joke into something actually relevant. Makes the whole thing kinda join together a bit nicer, especially when some things like Tomari's dead dad kinda popped up out of nowhere.
