Which Sixth Ranger Deserves a Return?
 

So a lot of the sixth Rangers over the course of the franchise have been delegated to simple "join halfway through and finish" status. Meaning they appear halfway through the series and then that's it.

In the more recent years (Samurai/Megaforce), they've been showing up overall halfway through the first half of a series (ie: halfway through Samurai which was 20 eps before Super Samurai another 20 eps).

So before the current Saban era and after MMPR (which had Tommy around FOREVER), which sixth Ranger do you think should return for a team-up or a special or a cameo or something?

NOTES! Left out MMPR Green and MMPR White because they were around quite awhile. Also left out White Mystic Ranger because sadly the actress is no longer with us, and left out Samurai/Megaforce/Super Megaforce because they're recent and/or were around for 3/4 of the season (in the case of Orion, he was recent).

Jason arguably has his Red Ranger powers.

If Jason showed up, I'd be very, very surprised.

Jason no longer has the Gold Ranger powers. It would be Trey returning if the Gold Ranger returns.

I want a return of Ryan. We were screwed out of it at the end of Super Megaforce (Along with a coherent story, character development, and continuity). Jason I'd rather see come back in DC has Silver. I know it won't happen but hey.

Obviously I have an unhealthy obsession with the Zeo Gold Ranger so that's my choice. But if that wasn't possible I'd love to see the White Dino Thunder Ranger return - I loved the suit and I don't feel it was written as badass in the American adaption as it could have been handled. Some redemption is needed!

But I chose Trent. Because Id love to see White Dino return.

Am I the only one who thinks of gold zeo and thinks trey, not jason?

My vote goes to Gem and Gemma from RPM. They were a lot of fun, but they were also very under-utilised in that season. I know it doesn't make sense from a plot or popularity perspective, but it'll be fun to see them again.

Wow a lot of Zeo Gold Ranger fans. I voted for Lost Galaxy Magna Defender.

Technically yes, Magna Defender IS a Sixth Ranger, but according to Gokaiger/Super Megaforce he's an Extra Ranger instead of a Sixth Ranger so it's highly unlikely he'll return.

You do realize this is a Power Rangers thread, where he's classified as the sixth of LG?

You could pull that same argument concerning the Phantom Ranger and Blue Centurian, but this isn't what Gokaiger says.

I want Ryan of Lightspeed to return.

I'm putting my vote for Titanium Ranger.

He was the first U.S. only Ranger for years and he deserves at least one more chance to shine.

But we are going by PR classification. Where there is no classification. Sure for Sentai they showed all that, but in Super Meh-gaforce we never really got any idea of who was sixth and who was extra. Id say if they were treated like sixths in the their show, then they are sixths. Magna Defender, Phantom Ranger/Blue Centurion, DOMINIC. (I will forever make that argument there.)

In another universe, where I did not stop just in time thus preventing myself from unwittingly tackling a man I idolize, I am forever living in complete and utter shame from the entire US Toku community.

I mean, you had an "oh shit" moment with an idol. Its a cool story to tell. Unless he wasn't cool about it, I wouldn't be upset about it.

That entire post was meant as jokingly as possible. It's pretty funny in hindsight considering I'm pretty much the only person who knows about it.

Unless ASJ saw it happen considering his booth was right there (and part of the reason said incident occurred). Damn it, THAT'S what I should have asked him...

At least he is getting more love than mercury ranger poor guy has 0 people wanting him back. Which now that I think about it is understandable seeing as how not many people enjoyed overdrive

It's not surprising that no one wants Mercury Ranger back.
But Jason was only Zeo gold for, like, 8 episodes, and there is little mention of Trey, which is why I'm surprised.

I dont even remember what I said to ASJ, I was too much in awe. But I love how what I said ended up on an autograph to someone else from Dan. :lol

They both have a certain presence about them that makes even the most reserved of fans lose their mind. ASJ for being such a wonderful guy, and Dan is quite possibly the snarkiest person I have ever met- and yet as far from a jerk as you can get.
