Not bad! I enjoyed the romp through DC, so it's fun to see another side.

Never cared about Fallout before, but with all this furor... Bets on it being a good starting point for newcomers?

With the exception of the original Black Isle-developed ones (due to age and being RADICALLY different in tone and gameplay), all the Fallout games are good starting point for newcomers. 3 is a bit isolated due to it taking place in DC as opposed to the West Coast, but hopefully 4's taking place in Boston will alleviate that somewhat.

Same here, and it's gonna stay that way.

I definitely need to play Fallout 3 again. Might just do what I usually do and have a good karma run of the game.

So for my Fallout 3 playthrough, I'll be doing a stealth sniper type character. Of course, this will require me to have the perforator and the Chinese stealth suit. Thank Godoka I'll be getting the Game of the Year edition for those.

I keep forgetting to update my stealth adventures here but so far...
-beat Operation Anchorage.
-beat The Pitt.

Right now, I'm doing some side quests while progressing through the main story. Thanks to this glitch with the Chinese stealth suit, I can wear more then one piece of headwear and it actually gives it a cool effect. With said glitch, I kind of (almost) look like Psycho Mantis (minus the psychokinesis.) So basically: Filtration helmet + Chinese stealth suit = Psycho Mantis.

So I think it was the Fallout 4 announcement or something else that got us talking about Bethesda in the "How is Everyone"-topic, (which spawned this one) where I told some of you guys how I wasted about 300 hours worth time in Skyrim and that all my files were corrupted and I lost them.

Well, after that I was kinda like: "Why not play it again?". So I started again, basically recreating my main character, the big brute Nord Warrior that bashed everyone’s skulls and laughs about the puny damage the enemies dish out. After I finished the main game and the DLC's and build me that sweet house again, I thought: "Huh. I always wanted to try out a pure mage".

So I started again. This time, full Mage. No weapons, no armor. It was tough early on, but after properly enchanting my gear and learning that the double destruction perk pushes every enemy away and stops them from attacking, it was easy. It was hard learning to always use the protection spell or else everything kills you in one hit, but after learning to handle that and summon some nice minions to tank for me it was great. Had much fun with my Mage, and I again did the main game, all DLC's and build myself a house. More of a sorcerer tower this time but still.

Then I realized I never probably rebuild the Thieves Guild. I did the Nightingale thing on my old save, but I never properly guided the guild to old strength. I wanted to do this with my mage but then I remembered how much fun it is to shoot things with a bow. So... I made a third character.

Full Thief/Assassin this time. Light armor, main weapon bow, dagger and sword in the offhand. And it's great. Sneaking around, one-hitting enemies with a precise arrow shot, anyone who dares standing with the back towards get the backstab. It's really fun, I did the main Thieves Guild-Questline even before I met the Greybeards. Got all the equipment I need, leveled sneaking, bow and light armor and some smiting, since being able to smith your own arrows is kinda nice. Upgrading your equipment with the perks also helps.

Now I'm about to do more main quest and additional quests with my thief, and this might be the first time I actually do the Thalmor Embassy quest the way it is intended to.

And I wasted another 70+ hours on this game :lol

Anyways, I thought it was kinda nice making a little picture with my three characters since only now I can fully appreciate how much freedom you have to play this game.

I splurged and bought a digital copy of Oblivion.. and wow it so different than Skyrim oh my fucking god. I have literally no idea what I'm doing.
