November 2015 5940 Yen Oddly enough the Shift Car "sponsor logos" are labels you must self apply to the figure. http://imageshack.com/a/img540/4171/z18grA.jpg |
Not that I wanted to buy it since I'm not too much into Drive, but I like the look of this form. The stickers though... holy shit that sucks. There may be people who can apply these perfectly, but I'm not one of them, I hate having to sticker up the toys myself.
Honestly I don't understand why you have to do this, you would think in a collectors line like that they would be tamped on or at least pre-applied. |
I'm not into Drive at all yet, but Drive and Mashin Chaser are pretty good, and i kinda like the look of this form as a figure.
I really don't mind the stickers, I'd rather they not be put on. But I don't know if I'll pre-order this or wait and get it later on. |
I can live with the stickers thing. This way at least there wont be the same drama we had with Gaim Kiwami Arms.
|
I'd honestly laugh my ass off if someone took all the stickers and put them on one of Drive's other Figuarts :lol.
Well, at least I'm only interested in Type Speed and the eventual Type Tridoron. I mean Formula does look sweet without the decals anyway, but him being released the same month as Knuckle? Mister Nuts. |
Is this Drive's ultimate form?

Formula looks really good in Figuart form. I'm still debating on whether to get him or not though.
|
I just hope the stickers aren't crappy quality. Crappy large stickers are one thing, but crappy tiny stickers with little-to-no adhesive can be vacuum bait.
|
That looks fantastic. Question is do you splurge now or wait for Type Trideron?
|
Well this is a disappointment. The one form of Drive I actually had interested in owning and I find myself completely disappointed with how it's being handled to the point where I don't even see it being worth the effort.
And as was said before, coming out the same month as Knuckle makes it not even a contest to which I'm getting. |
I don't know whether to regard the sticker thing as an icky cost-saving measure or a nod to collectors who'd prefer the figure without all the could-be-considered-tacky labels. (I also suspect that's why they included a promo picture without the stickers.)
|
I didn't plan on picking this up anyway, but knowing that it has stickers puts me off even more. I don't inherently hate stickers and was fine with them for Blade, but in this case I just don't see any reason why the stickers are necessary.

Maaaan. I hope they're at least transfer or waterslide decals, because foil stickers would be terrible with this design.
|
While it's gonna be a pain to get the stickers on ('cuz I have BIG MEATY FINGERS), it'll definitely be worth to get. That, and I think it's so that they don't have to worry about QC issues with painting them all on. But I hope that the adhesive is GOOD.
|
where can I get this figure if I live in the states? is ebay my only option?
|
Through a middleman site, such as Anime-Export, or once it has been released, I'd go with Mandarake instead of eBay, as the prices there are usually much cheaper.
