I dunno but it looks like we still have the original transformertion to megazord mode. I have feeling red dragon. Gona do tiger zord and it the the one with cross limb compatablity

I need this. Badly.

It looks so beautiful.

I hope we don't have to wait long to see them separated.

Has anyone ever rotated the shoulder for Red Dragonzord forward in Thunder Megazord mode, so that the usual top of the shoulder is instead now the front?

I ask because I did this as a kid, it gives the Thunder Megazord a wider range of articulation and can hold the Thunder Sword above his head and somewhat behind him, making the attack look more awesome.

Welp, I need money now.

Still need to see more of the individual Zords. I want to know what-if anything- was sacrificed to make this Zordbuilder compatible.

I hope Red Dragon looks cool on his own. But yes I want this a lot.

Such beauty. Such amazement. This thing is just pure perfection. The only thing that can make it better is if they found a way to make the Ryuuseiou fully posseable in dragon mode.

it's crazy that this legacy line isn't better articulated. i mean, these things look great, but why no articulation? and it's not like these things are cheap either. that's a ton of money for very little articulation.

transformers have articulated combiners, voltron is articulated.. it's just strange to me. these are cool looking, but i want ultimate versions of these zords.

i wonder if we'll ever see them done like that. if it does ever happen it won't be for a while thanks to the legacy line.

I have a question. Why didn't they show off the Red Dragon Thunderzord?

He probably wasn't finished being designed yet.

And the articulation is something that is sacrificed so that the Megazord can break down into individual zords. I wish there was more articulation as well, but the Super Chogokin line (or whatever it is called) in Japan has all the articulation, but they cannot change from individual mechs into the gattai

So do combines there still no excuse they can't have articulation

While I wish I could agree, Toynami and Hasbro have shown that fully posseable figures do not make great combiners. They never stay together well and parts don't stay where they should. I would love to have a fully posseable Dairen-Ou and Won Tiger, especially in the legs, if nothing else, but I would rather at least have the combined toy stay together. However, I'd like them to be able to at least do the poses they did on the show.

Yeah, I wouldn't expect much more articulation than what the original had. Dr. Kain has a point about posable combiners, especially when it's an interior robot wearing essentially giant armour. They do a good job giving the arms more articulation, though.

Has Robot Damashii done the ThunderMegazord? Also, I hope beyond hope of hopes that they do a Legacy Zeo Megazord. That thing had good arm posability back then, and I really like it's design. It'd look sweet as a Legacy figure.

BoA said a Legacy ZEO Megazord is possible in the future as they're big fans of that season of PR.

The line u are all thinking of is the SRC line - super robot chogokin. Die cast, about five or six inches tall, articulated, not combining. Basically robot damashii plus die cast, before the metal Robot line that debuted this year.


The reason no articulation is $$$$. More articulation requires more engineering and more parts to make it all works. Plastic and metal are cheap but designing and making molds for more complex parts costs money.

Could bandai do it? sure, but we're going to be looking at Soul of Chogokin prices probably. That won't work at mass retail in USA at TRU, not at the profit margin Bandai is working with now

Actually, that's the exactly the reason. The Thunderzords form an armor around Red Dragon. The way they combine, to make it show accurate for the Legacy Line, means it can't have elbow or knee articulation. Also, why are you surprised? Legacy Megazord, Dragonzord, Tigerzord, none of these had articulation. It's not a new thing.

They do, but he is talking about Marvel Legends/Figuart amount of articulation on the mecha.

Another thing is, this is BoA you are talking aboute WhiteRanger. They haven't even figured out the concept of bicep and ankle swivels on their ranger figures.

It did, I mispoke about that toy. But the rest didn't. And they probably won't.

Some figures have had those two types of articulation. Have you seen the Legacy Movie figures? They have ankle joints.

Why is everyone complaining about the Legacy Megazords not having full articulation? Its literally been a thing since the first Megazord that they dont have articulation. Giant blocky toys combine to form a bigger giant blocky toy. Sure the Legacy line is for older Megazords to get a newer, updated look and toy. I honestly do not see these things getting articulation like a normal action figure anytime soon, and honestly? I dont want them too. Would take away from makes a Megazord, a Megazord.

I was not suprise I was. Ore meaning that I wished it did then any thing I more happy that it's coming due to the orginal or version wa my first megazord toy and. I will be picking this up.

I think because for a fraction of the price, detail and size, Minipla Sentai Robos have high articulation that their DX brethren wish they had.

Because of Combiner Wars, basically. I see no problem with it. Them having limited articulation I mean. I'd love for them to have more, but it's not a killer.

Yet minipla have little to no detail or paint. You have to use stickers, or paint it yourself if you want a nicely detailed, articulated mecha. Plus, those joints wear out easily, at least my ToQger ones do.

Agreed, back on topic, Im still debating if Ill get this. It looks amazing, but Im not interested in anything MMPR related anymore.

even though im sick of legacy mmpr stuf i still want to own this as this is the megazord i had as a kid i still own the one i had as a kid

These zkrds have the articulation of the dinocharge megazord at double the price.

Rumors of a Legacy Zeo line make me wet. Legacy Super Zero Megazord would be the tits.

Legacy Zords have additional features to make them worth the price, including fantastic paint jobs, more intricate and screen-accurate molds, as well die-cast.

The Dinocharge Megazord is also a cheap POS.

Plastic quality aside, it's perfectly fine for what it is in my book.

With the added difference of the Red Dragon Thunderzord not being an inoperable brick.

They also have diecast metal, several pieces that are now raised and actually sculpted instead of being stickers unlike the original and several paint apps that you won't find on a regular MegaZord release. The paint apps alone drive up the price but the intricately sculpted details don't come cheap either.

The Legacy zords make the originals look even moreso like kids toys than back in the day. It may not be apparent at first but when looking closely, they're very different.
