Man this year is ending up sucky with people we all love dying. I haven't watched faiz enough to completely love his character but any rider dying is a sad. Also I feel like the song just fits for a sad moment as such.

I had spent the past few weeks re-watching Faiz, so hearing this last night just made me sadder than it would have normally. Condolences to his family.

Wow, this is so sudden and out of nowhere. He died so young and he was very great as Yuji. Very unfortunate.

He seems to have been hospitalized for quite a while now, but his disease wasn't specified.

Someone on another site said that it was cirrhosis of the liver, but there's no source on that info.

Having watched Faiz (555) last year, I felt he was one of the better tokusatsu actors to have played in a series. He provided a quality to his character of Kiba that was a perfect foil to Takumi, both as a friend and an enemy. His character was serious, but driven, and he played it incredibly well. I'm sorry to hear that he has passed, I was hoping to see him in another series at some point. Thoughts go out to his family and those closest.

So unfortunate. Really enjoyed seeing him in the few things he acted in. RIP, man. Gone too early.

this was the first Kamen rider series i watched in 2004 or so. He also did a reunion with the other casts promoting the bluray release not that long ago. he will be missed.

The cast members regularly met up in a private context as well. Kouhei Takeda (Kaixa's actor) wrote a blog entry where he mentioned that.

Kouhei Takeda played Otoya in Kiva. It was Kohei Murakami who played Kusaka/Kaixa.
