Deity Sentai/Ranger
 

Hey everybody, I had an idea for a Sentai/Ranger groups and would like y'alls help on deciding which pantheon would be involved. I don't have a solid story in my head yet. But this poll and y'all's feed back during said poll process will help with that. Please vote for your five favorite Pantheons!

I love Egyptian/African. I think they have a pretty diverse pantheon.
As for others...Er...Anything but Greek/Roman.

Why not a mixture? :) You know, one roman god one norse and so on and so forth?

O figured with you being an MLP fan, you would have voted for either Greek or Roman because of Hipona. I think I spelt her name right. She's a Deity whos animal representation is a horse.

It will be a mix. Hence why I said vote for top 5.

I always love me some Norse mythology.

Just because I love me some pony doesn't mean I can't be tired of the same Greco-Roman gods getting used over and over again :lol

There are mild differences between the two.

Because there are some differences. Plus it also allows for more deities. Possibly even a set of twins.... Which is something I had in mind if they both get selected.

Norse. Because I defy you to name a better way to end a series, or hell, a better theme for a series, than freaking Ragnarok.

Ragnarok is actually a pretty bad way to end a series, since it's basically the original red wedding.

I say Tao, Celtic, or Hindu. Those don't get used that often, especially the first two.

Ok. I've given this time to doe down. And you Top Five Pantheons are, in order from highest, Greek, Hindu, Norse, and Roman and Shinto tying for number five. Now we shall see where this can go color-wise. Post your suggestions!

so is each ranger based on a different pantheon or is there only one pantheon to choose from?

Each of the Sentai/ranger is one deity from the chosen Pantheons. I'm waiting for suggestions on which colors should be assigned to the Pantheons.

I think Greek should be the white ranger since that was the most common color worn by Greeks (togas) in most portrayals in media and text books.

Hindu could be cool as the green ranger

Norse could be the black or brown ranger (I imagine most vikings wearing brown or black)

Shinto could be the blue. For some reason it seems fitting.

Roman could be the red ranger and rival of the Greek ranger since those two pantheons borrow from each other so much.

Give me a reason why Hindu should be female. Shinto I can see because of Amaterasu. But I'm guessing your thinking of Kali for Hindu?

i was thinking Shiva but yeah

Siva is actually a male Deity. He has like 5-7 wives, but his primary one is Kali.

You probably got your idea of Siva's gender from FF. And what idea has come to your mind?

a black or silver sixth using Nyx greek goddess of night as the basis, or using the Pagan Goddess as the basis
