I wasn't willing to pay 200 for Legacy Titanus
No way am I paying 200 for Thunder Megazord. |
Boner is dead.
|
take a chance in the stores and hope for a 15%-20% off coupon I guess
|
Yeah.... No.
I could probably get a complete DairenOh for less. |
Ahahahahaha hahahahahaha hahahahaha
No. |
*blink*
Oh. It is real... Aw... |
This gives me hope, actually.
This means it's likely that the Red Dragonzord would be a $50 figure, and the Thunderzord Assault Team would be a $150 add-on. So in a way it is fair. Just a bit of sticker shock. |
Wait patiently for 50% off sale or $50 permanent price drop like with Titanus. Use a coupon for extra effectiveness
|
There is no way that price can be real. This is probably just BBTS with their greedy price gouging that they have been doing lately.
|
I know this design is radically different from the first Legacy Megazord but i wasn't really sure there was $100 worth of difference...

I preordered without any hesitation. I wasn't willing to pay $200 for Titanus, but this is my jam. Unless TRU puts up a preorder for less, I'm fine with keeping my preorder.
|
Hmmm....considering I got my ol legacy for £40 I'm not touching this unless it goes down ALOT.
Like I understand paying that kind of price for something like...a Soul of Chogokin figure where it shows with engineering and screen accuracy but for this where the only upgrades are the sculpt and paint apps? Nuh uh. |

$200!!! Bandai of America is really trying to milk our money now. They think that since the previous Legacy items were successful they can jack up the prices and because they know fans will buy it regardless of price. With a price like that I'm not expecting the sales to be too high. I'm going to wait for a sale because I know it's going to have to come.
|
Do we know if they'll be making the chestpiece clear and able to stow the crystals/rangers? That was one of the main reasons I wanted the original, if they include that feature on this one, I'll buy in.
|
I really want this, but do I $200 want this? It definitely seems over priced and am going to have to wait to see the TrU or Amazon pricing. I picked up the original for far less than that.
|
I'm betting that it will come down. This is just a "we have no clue what price it is going to be, but we want dem preorders now" type of thing.
I'm pretty sure that everyone here would rather it drop from $200 to $150 instead of the initial price being $100 and they have to raise it to $150 when actual pricing is confirmed. |
The only way I could see it actually being $200 is if it has like 30+ points of articulation on both Ryuuseiou and the megazord itself.
|
I hope this isn't MSRP. If it is, well, I wouldn't be surprised if the Legacy line just sticks to MMPR season 1 after this.
|
Yeah, not paying $200 for this. Odds are this is BBTS doing their usual thing and jacking it up, but I guess we'll find out. Either way I expect to eventually see it come down to something more reasonable.

Because this, awesome as it is, is not worth $200. |
This is an awesome toy. It has been something I've wanted for a while.
However, I simply can't bring myself to pay $200. It's just far too much money. |

Well I don't want to alarm anyone but I believe $200 is indeed MSRP. Diamond Comics, the distributer I use in my line of work and supplier for all comic book stores, has put up their listing for the Legacy Thunder Megazord in the retailer ordering system. Even through them this set is $199.99. BBTS is NOT marking this set up as some have suggested. Further more this thing ships in a case of 1, meaning it's rather large.

The fuck Bandai? Couldn't you have employed the cost-cutting skills you employed with the Dino Charge toys on this thing to give it all the features in a nice, cost-effective bundle with all the wonders of a glorious collectors' paint job and maybe a bit of die-cast? How big is the mother of it ships one per case?! |
Steep price.
Yeah, I'm definitely passing. |
wow... That's... that's a bit of a buzz kill... Can't say that I'll have any real interest in buying it anymore... Though I'm really curious to see how Bandai justifies such a high price.
Kinda makes me wonder what the blade blaster will be going for now... |
Well that sucks, but I must own it. This is the one toy I can not just pass up. I will, however, keep my eye on sales after I get him because if he drops in the time I can return something, I will buy a second one under the sale price and return it using the receipt from the original price.
Nevertheless, wtf Bandai? You would think Titanus would have taught them that $200 is not a good price point. Not to mention they should have mentioned this at SDCC. |
I hope the $200 is just BigBadToystore trying to make an extra profit, because that thing should be $100 compared to other legacy items. That Red Dragon Thunderzord better be something good.
|
Too expensive..
Very awesome pre order
But I think too expensive.. |

But let's hope it's not come to that just yet. |
^Oh man, I could see that.
"We tried season 2 MMPR and it just didn't sell." If it is shipping one to a case, then how huge is this thing? I wonder how much bigger than the Megazord it will be. |
Quote:
$200? Christ, that's like 275 Australian bucks and there's still shipping on top of that. That's disappointing. |

Am I the only one who's not at all surprised by the price?
1.)Legacy Megazord was cheap because it was 2010 rehash, and isn't of the same quality of the proceeding legacy zords. 2.)Thunder Megazord was more complex/expensive than the original Megazord. 3.)Legacy Dragonzord and Tigerzord were $80, and a lot less complex than even the original Megazord. You may think there wasn't that big a difference between the prices of the originals, but Dragonzord and Tigerzord had electronics and 8" figures to pad the price. They'd have ended up costing about half the price of the Megazords if you removed those elements. So when factoring everything together I expected $150 - $200 depending on whether they cut corners or not. For $200 I assume they went all out, so that should make people happy when more is revealed. |
$200 for a Zord Builder? Wow, is Bandai America that desperate?
|
I'd hate to see the prices of Tor and Serpenterra would end up being.
|
Judging from the reactions, it looks like it'll be myself and just a small handful of people getting this :(
