Our first look at the Ganma & the henshin sequence!

I posted about it in the Speculation-topic, but I think it is worth mentioning again that the official Youtube-channel will upload a video showcasing Ghost's henshin next Tuesday.

Are the jackets supposed to be the spirits of the people the Icons are themed after?

Most likely, yes :)

This whole time we've been getting news and I JUST understand why the spirits are in the form of jackets. *facepalm*

The henshin device looks pretty awful. I would not want to own that giant block of blandness. However, his bike looks awesome and I like the villain designs. Also, is it just me or does it look like there are grunts again?

Oh you're right, there are grunts.

Also, I bet this floating little ghost-puppet is going a be a huge pain in the ass.

It's name is Yurusen and is a Jiminy Cricket of sorts to Takeru/Ghost.
It saved Takeru and was sent by the old xian/sennin to aid him.

That's exactly what I was afraid of... the Navi-archetype.

Looking at what Takeru is wearing, I can understand why people thought there could possibly have been a fashion theme.

Man, that driver is fat.

No, not phat. I mean, it could give Fourze's driver a run for it's money in how bulky it is. Plus, it looks kinda cheap with the clearish plastic. I know, kids toys, but I guess in order to keep it all self contained since the bracer/driver combination of Drive was a little overkill. I also have to think that the sounds will be contained in the eyes, not in the belt. That could be useful for expanded universe eyes (Drive Eye, Gaim Eye, Wizard Eye, Blade Eye, etc)

I still contend that Gaim got it right in just about every way possible for their Driver system.

The outfits look interesting. Very Den-O with a splash of Wizard. Even the main lead reminds me a lot of Ryutaro.

I sense a lot of Ghostbuster jokes will be coming with this series as some of us watch.

Nope. The Eyecons have no electronic in them :)

Looking at the belt when it's open, it'd be a hundred times more appealing if it just didn't have the front at all. It'd be a lot like the Sengoku/Genesis driver, yes, but at least it would look good as a result.

Oh absolutely. Gaim perfectly captured the balance between size, shape, and electronics spread between the belt and collectible. (unlike Drive, who needs everything programmed into the belt ahead of time, any new sounds can be added to any new Lock Seed and still work with the driver)

Mostly because of the jacket theme too, but I think they chose jackets because when you take the jacket off, they look like bedsheet ghosts. I never once thought of that till I saw these scans.

It's seem Akari and Onari will witness Takeru's death

That's why Akari is determine to aid Takeru for his quest to find 15 Ghost Eyecons because she want to revive her childhood friend despite her not believe in Supernatural.

Kind of an odd point to bring up, but I'm absolutely loving the lead's outfits, really, they look super cool.
