The first couple I liked, I think they got a lot better when you read Trini's and Zack's.

I'll try to post the details as long as someone doesn't beat me to it lol.

Alright here we go:

Kimberly's dying, it mentions that she acts how she does because of it. Trini's moved around a lot. Zack acts like a rebel because he's afraid that there is no place for him because of what he looks like. Something happened to Billy's Mom and Billy is afraid if he doesn't keep doing the research then what happened to his Mom will happen to everyone else he loves. Jason is afraid that it doesn't matter what he does because nobody notices him and that deep down he thinks he's not good at anything. Overall it goes deeper into those things. Also Billy and Jason are really close friends from how it sounds. Zordon and Alpha 5 have parts too. To me it actually sounds really good but you have to read the things better than I have explained.

Wow. I don't think I like that. Hopefully it will be changed.

Why would Amy Jo be playing her? AJJ is way to old to play her old role. But I do hope that they hire actors that at least resemble their predecessors in some form or fashion.

I wonder if Zordon have a magic to cure Kimberly's cancer.

Interesting. Not feeling it, but I don't hate it as much as the first descriptions of the characters we got.
Also, the fears of Kimberly's story being a rape drama can be properly quelled now.

Too bad no Tommy in this one.

I'd been wondering if she'd had a kid. I didn't think it was likely, but it would've explained the six month disappearance. This seems like a less controversial approach.

Yeah there is who list of possibilities they could have went. I hope they keep the spirit of Power Rangers here, I mean you can make more for adult audiences but don't make it too dark.

Too bad he wasnt in those first 16 episodes of MMPR season one so they had to introduce the other five before him huh?

Sorry for that, but he can always be in the sequel. Dont throw in a sixth ranger intro and story in the intro story of the core team. Sides are cool, totally did not expect one thing, and another Im kinda glad about.

To be honest, i'm actually down with these.
The only one i might have a problem with is Zack, because to me that just screams. "I'm the black guy!"

I like this because I'm thinking to myself that this is a revamp of the series geared more toward older fans...And besides kids are a lot more mature than they were in the 90's they can tolerate more than they used to so everything there is nice....and Zack being "the black guy" isn't nessecarily it he could be slightly deformed or something

The Rita stealing gold plot is still a thing I see.

It won't surprise me if he shows up in a post-credit scene. I do wonder if the Rangers in the movie would beat Rita by sending her back into the space dumpster kinda like what happen in Zyuranger or have her be trapped back in her space dumpster by Lord Zedd in future movies?

Just based on what I see so far I think it is decent and the tone of the script seems okay.
It feels like they cranked up the Breakfast Club-o-meter a bit and the dynamics of the five rangers seem alright.

Read the sides, and I don't like what I'm seeing so far.
