I like what I'm seeing.

That was pretty good. The music sounds great! Those ghosts are good musicians, even with their lack of hands.

We got a good look at the belt from the front, and the mouth is a lot bigger than what I thought.

So the Eyecons are from space like the Astro Switches?

Of course not, this video is just the protagonist's dream, as shown at the end of it.

Well, "Eye" hope so. Sentient trinkets from space seems unfitting for a Rider whose backstory is that he's a walking corpse trying to come back to life.

"Eye" do wonder how Imagin-like the Jackets will be though.

I'm a bit disappointed that the belt front is not made from latex and you need to push the Eyecons in.
The little clip was fine, not great. The ghosts look actually really good, I wonder if they are CGI or practical. It's a shame we didn't see anything really aside from the ghosts. The minions weren't in shot, and we didn't see any of the supporting cast. Hopefully this wont suck.

One more "Eye" pun and I send you flying, Bravo-style.

Aside form the fact that this video makes no sense and is clearly a dream, what sense does it make for the Eyecons to come from space when the Ghosts that live inside them are already on earth, in their hoodie-form, watching them crash?

It's just a music video-esque promo, nothing more.

I continue to be disappointed with the belt as a whole, this may be the ugliest Driver I've ever seen. Hell, even Kamen Rider G's belt is 10x times more awesome, and that was a freaking wing corkscrew.

I'm hoping that they're both: guys in green body suits walk around wearing the jackets when Takeru isn't and the green suits are edited out in post making the jackets look like they are realistically floating around.

That would probably be too elaborate and costly for Toei to continue doing on set every week. If they are practical they will work them on wires. But given how they are portrayed here I wouldnt get any hopes up that they are practical and just assume they are CG all the time.

And I would be very suprised if we get to see much of them outside of the Henshin sequence.

And I thought the Drive belt was annoying.

Well, it is, and as far as annoying belts go this is hardly the worse. I miss when belt standbys were tunes or some kind of cool powering-up noise. It just seems like a lot of dysfunctional noise.

I also think it's kind of stupid that the eyecons are alive. But their little tiny ship crashing had me laughing.

I love it, I want it. I love him. I NEEEED IT!

At least the Ghost Driver is no where near as obnoxious or loud as the Drive Driver is.

At least the Drive Driver limits itself to sounds and only announces forms, this fucking thing sings for a standby noise and for every form... ugh.

I can't wait until they shorten it in the show and all you're gonna hear is a 2 second mishmash of someone singing in Japanese and trying to pronounce an English name.

As I said in the Ghost topic, I couldn’t understand people who disliked Gaim's jingles back then, but now that I've watched more Rider-stuff I find the sounds the Ghost Driver makes painfully dreadful, and I understand the people who are not into this.

So what's the standby noise?

"Urakeminina?"

Its "Bacchariminna" as far as I understand it its a pun on opening your eyes.

The belt's jingle is "Bacchiriminaa" バッチリミナー

The dual sound pun is "Pacchiriminaa"

-minaa is an imperative command, like KyoryuRed's "Tometemina!" Literally "Stop me!", taken as "Try to stop me!"

Bacchiri means "perfectly" or "properly"
Pacchiri means "eyes that are open wide"

So the jingle can be taken as either "Open that eye wide!" or as "Do it properly/Get it right!"

Neat!

And I for one really like the jingle. I don't think it's annoying at all.

When I hear the Henshin voice, almost reminds me of Wizard's "Lupachii-Touch-Magic-To-Go!" Lol. But honestly though, this looks to be real promising. Can't wait for this!

To be fair though, every Rider belt does that to a degree, Heisei belts even more so.

The difference here is that the Ghost Driver is simple: you get one or two noises per form and activation wheres the Drive Driver made noise every time you activated the thing.

Sounds? Well yeah, but...

The Showa Riders only have their iconic "wush" followed by a role-call, early Heisei Rider have nothing but short sounds, Ryuki started naming forms/attacks, and following that we mostly had short jingles and the form + finisher name.

The whole "name everything and sing stupid songs about it"-thing nly started recently, with Wizard I think, who's Driver was very annoying.

Drive is almost a little bit more classy since he has the name and jingle-thing again, but not as long and voluminous as Gaim. But Gaim was more of a role-call + form name mix than everything, and I like it there.

I think Ghost goes more into the Wizard-category than anything and I don't like it so far.

Okay yeah, the whole switching the Shift Cars thing (Spe-Spe-Speed!) is not there yet, since Ghost has no gimmick-items like the Shift Cars or different Astro Switches.

Which I'm very thankful for by the way, I hate these mini-form changes that serve as Deus Ex Machina-power ups.

Still... this Driver does so much annoying stuff. But hey, looking back at Wizard (or Drive) I could live with the whole sound-thingy so maybe I can do so with Ghost too.

The sining Belt started with OOO. Double only had the Form name and a short Jingle. So yeah OOO is to blame for this trend :lol

Oh yeah OOO. I probably didn’t think about that because it's good. But that one isn’t singing for standby either... it's just sing the form-name. With cool sounds and melodies.

I like them too. But I think thats where it all started in terms of going crazy with the jingles. The OOO line was very successfull in terms of sales so Bandai is probably looking at the toys and thinking "The Belt sings so thats what Kids must have liked about it." so they try to give the Belts even more sounds in the lines that followed it.

I do hope the Eyecons are NOT from space...but I am surprised that both the eyecons and jackets are two different things. Edison and Mushashi I know I will want as figures...alas I see Edison becoming the "Magnet States" of the show. After that, it has a ton of potential!

Wouldnt Edison technically be Elek States since it has electricity powers?

I think Starscreamer meant "Magnet States in how it's used in combat/how often it's used in combat."

The singing started with OOO, but the one that really bugs me is the standby music, which started with Fourze.

Who knew Sir Isaac Newton was such a badass? Or Thomas Edison? Seriously, has someone been reading 'Badass Of The Week" by Ben Thompson or something?

Nice little introduction to the main character and gimmick. And eye agree that the belt is just chunk style.

well that and the fact it was a figuart that went for $15 on clearance...just doesn't look that cool to be honest lol

I think the belt's voice is the same as from Wizard. In fact I got a Wizard vibe from the whole thing. I hope this isn't Wizard with Gaim's amount of toys.

I think your right about the voice. I'm expecting more Icons than lockseeds honestly. One for each main rider and some secondary riders.
