A nice follow up to the previous Metal Hero key set. Oddly once again Bandai seems to have completely ignored the existence of the final 2 series in the franchise, Kabutack & Robotack :(

Oh man I need this. Especially for those Fire and Sho keys.

And I just started watching VR Troopers on Netflix, today...

I'd be in for Shaider and Metalder if anyone wants to split a set.

Almost 5 years since Gokaiger started and yet more keys keep on coming.

I wouldn't put anything pass Bandai when it comes to ranger keys. Hell they just might be crazy enough to re release all keys again lol.

I'm not surprised one bit that ranger keys are still going. Sure, they started off as part of Gokaiger, but they make a nice collectible that can be enjoyed completely separate from the series.

Once they make these keys it be keys of non toei toku they make toys for then anime

Can you imagine Ultraman keys? Or Jet Jaguar and Zone Fighter keys? Oh man...

So we're getting VR Trooper Ranger Keys of Ryan (both Seasons 1 and 2) and JB.

Unfortunately, just like the Super Megaforce Ranger Keys, we're not getting the female VR Trooper key (Kaitlin).

They aren't VR Trooper keys, they're Metal Hero keys. I get that you're trying to identify them as what you want them to be, but that isn't what they are. This has literally nothing whatsoever in any way shape or form to do with Super Megaforce or the way Bandai America shafts female heroes.

These keys are made by Bandai Japan. And they up to this point had only ever made 5 metal hero keys at all, only of main heroes, and only those who appeared in Super Hero Taisen Z. This set is coming out 3 years later and finally completes most of the lead heroes save for the final 2 which are not included. It's a little early to moan that they aren't doing the female characters like Diana Lady or SWAT Sarah or B Fighter Tento, etc, when they've only just barely even begun to do all the main heroes.

Very nice to get more Metal Hero stuff.

I actually quite like that they keep making Ranger Keys. The decision is probably quite a good one financially but it is kind of nice as Ranger Keys were always a legacy item and having such a wide range of one collectable is cool.

Kabutack & Robotack weren't really popular series when they came out back then and maybe that's why they were excluded in the set. I also read somewhere that the toy sales were extremely low for both series mainly due to bad manufacturing because Bandai started using cheap labor to make their toys. That's why most of them came out with defects such as non-functionality of the buttons, missing or non-working sounds, and even figures with inconsistent quality (i.e. missing accessories, poor articulation, etc.)

I'd just like Bandai to make Keys for every single hero in every single franchise. But that's probably asking for too much.

You clearly don't have much experience with Kabutack or Robotack toys if you think buttons and electronics are involved or that quality concerns affected them. That's simply not the case. The Kabutack figures were DX style transforming figures that flipped their bodies nearly inside out to become more stylized robot modes. None of them had specific action features that were button operated at all. No electronics either.

Meanwhile Robotack featured a magnet change system. Figures were made with core diecast parts and had magnetic flat surfaces embedded at the base of the limb joints, the arms and legs could then be swapped among them to create new combinations. Again, no real action features or electronics.

I own every figure from both series, I bought them over a decade after they were released, and have never experienced the problems you're trying to say exist. I have a wealth of experience with both of those toylines. Bandai isn't excluding them because of these QC issues that you're inferring exist. Because they don't. I'm sure a few duds were around at the time, but Bandai isn't sweeping two whole franchise under the rug over some QC from 15+ years ago.

Bandai just make a new Mopirates that works with all the post Gokaiger keys, please....

I'd say a better reason for not making Robotack and Kabutack keys is because Bandai has plans to make more even MOAR keys for a toy that's been irrelevant for 4 years at this point. Which I find to be hilarious. :lol

Everybody keeps saying that they're ignoring the last two Metal Heroes series...but there aren't any B-fighter keys in this set either. Does that mean keys from those shows exist already?

They already made Blue Beet and B-Fighter Kabuto keys.

Blue Beet, Kabuto, Draftredder, Jiban, Jiraya, & Janperson ALREADY CAME OUT. In a key set released nearly 3 years ago for Super Hero Taisen Z. This set is filling the gaps left by that one, aside from Kabutack & Robotack which are still missing.

I'm not sure how people continue to miss that point but those keys did come out already. For those of you who've somehow been completely unaware of this sets existence, it was revealed in April. 2013. Here.

The front page post for this article also mentions the fact that the other keys were released previously. Just trying to clarify it for good.

Just started collecting keys last year. I'd love to get this, but not for roughly $110. Jeez.

Sadly I predict we'll see the other Metal Heroes and possibly villains before we see Kabutack & Robotack keys. Though they'll probably get there eventually.
