Kamen Rider Wizard- FIRST LOOK!
 

Filming on the new Kamen Rider show has already begun, and as a result we may have our first glimpse of the 23rd Kamen Rider!

Really digging this. Very simplistic, very sleek. It's different, yet familiar.

inb4 the New Rider Cycle starts after this post.

I like it too. The only thing that's a little off-putting right now is how the transformation might go.

At least how I theorize it will go using the belt design and the previous rumors. Seems like he'll have to high five his belt to transform, and if he doesn't have rings on already we'll have to watch him put all five on his fingers. I'm sure, if that's the way they go, they'll find a way to smooth that out though. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm a little underwhelmed since nothing there screams "WIZARD" to me, but its far too early to judge yet.

Now that you mention it I am severely disappointed in the apparent lack of a wizard hat. Here's hoping he pulls a Kamen Rider Skull and puts one on his head post-transformation.

It's a good enough image to calm my curiosity but not a detailed enough one to say whether I truly dig it or not... so far though it looks cool enough, definitely getting a Hibiki feel from the helmet.

Don't forget a staff!

I'm liking it. It's a very streamlined suit, which is kind of nice after how busy the Fourze and Os ones were. I'm loving the translucent red bits and the helmet looks cool (I'm seeing a lot of Hibiki and a little of Decade in it, which were two of my favorite helmet designs). The only part I'm not sure about are the big honking rings. I kinda wish they were smaller and/or less costumey. They do make me think a little of Zaruba from Garo, though, so I'm willing to give them a chance.

I can see it. The suit almost looks like an actual suit from the waist up, giving him kind of a stage magician look. Kind of like Zatara from DC Comics.

Very interesting. Looks like his rings has an image of his helmet on them. And does he have......side skirts?

At first I thought that was a cape but no, looks like you're right. I think they're going for something like a long coat effect. I'm actually way cooler with that than a cape.

Looking at the full pic, yeah I can see what you mean. That's pretty neat actually.

very disappointing. I was hoping for something that would look good with the magiranger suits.

The Rider gives off Showa vibes. I am excited to see how this will go.

He really doesn't have the compound eye effect does he?

He does, it's just a little diffrent than the others.

It also seems he has the same effect on his armor.

Actually, his suit looks like the coat a magician would wear. Just look at how the black looks like a suit jacket with the coat tails and everything.

Yeah, it's already been pointed out to me. I posted that comment before the full body shot was added.

So his base red is called Flame Style. Wonder what other colors would be? Probably blue, maybe green as well.

I heard someone mention he could be a stage magician instead of a Potter Wizard per say...

and I didn't want to like this guy based on the concept...but damnit! I like him!

Fingers crossed the writing staff have heard of/seen Arrested Development (unlikely, yes, but still).

Not surprised they're going this angle though, as anything more Harry Potter wizard-inspired might be too similar to Fourze, given the presence of a school in that series.

Just noticed something about the main article - someone's count seems to be off, Wizard is the 29th main Rider, not the 23rd. I think someone was counting shows, which leaves out Rider 2, Riderman, ZX, Shin, ZO, and J.

Kamen Rider Wizard uses the transformation belt called “Wizard Driver” in order to transform. By wearing a ring and placing his hand in front of the buckle, he’s able to transform. Kamen Rider Wizard uses a weapon called “WizaSwordGun” it has two different modes. A sword mode and a gun mode.

The rings that are used to transform are “Wizard Ring.“ These rings will provide Wizard with magic and various powers.

Different rings will provide Wizard with different magic. For example the Big ring will allow Wizard to make a specific body part bigger. When Wizard uses the Copy ring, he’s able to create copies of himself.

Dayum, that guy looks amazing. Love the trenchcoat look. Really nice weapons too!

That's what I immediately thought of the moment I saw him. It was rather unexpected, but I'm digging the look!

This is the first time I fell in love with a suit design in a while. I just love how Wizard looks! Not digging the belt, but he looks like a Show Era Den-O

I guess I'm the exception. Not really digging the suit. The visor is bland and the overall design just looks ugly to me.

I actually had a negative knee jerk reaction when seeing him for the first time, but was quickly won over. My knee jerk reaction was due to the lack of explicit compound eyes, but now I like that innovation!

This suit doesn't really catch me in any way. It just seems kind of bland for the main character of the show.

I'm undecided on the look, it's kinda working for me, and kinda not. My biggest dislike so far, is the hand symbol on the belt.

But, I'm curious to see where it goes. Maybe I can keep more up to date on this show as it airs, as opposed to Fourze and Go-Busters, which I am far behind on.

So it looks like he can change into blue, green, and yellow forms. Looks to maybe also have an orange one in there. Kind of hard to make out.

Left hand looks to control the form he takes. Right hand the power/spell that he uses.

I actually really, really like this suit. I definitely can see the wizard motif with the cloak. The other forms will probably be color swaps with simple minor aesthetic changes, but I'll be totally fine with that.

I'm not huge on the helmet being a solid color. I really like the bug eyes in all the series I've seen and he seems to just not have them.

Oh and the belt. That's just ridiculous.

But the rest is cool. :P
