Takeru chases down a new hero while Akari & Onari track down the Mysterious Man in black. Will they learn the secrets of the Ganma???

Oh I liked this episode. A lot happened but it all felt like it had a purpose. Lots of revelations happening with the antagonists now. The most startling one probably being that Saionji has a coverless Driver all hooked up to his briefcase and can apparently draw out Eyecons the non-evil way. I was wondering where the Driver used to make the Megauruoda was gonna come from, so...there I guess. Exciting stuff.

They've also started shilling Genesis, so goodbye half of the opening for now. I think the pv after the episode showed some new forms for the Da Vinci Ganma, looks considerably than the goofy thing we've seen thus far. His face also kinda looks like Necrom, I think, so that's...huh. Probably a coincidence.

I kind of feel like one of those two Musashi transformations was meant to be Beethoven at one point, but they opted for the former because it was cheaper. A lot of plot going on in this one though, so I can't wait for subs.

Yeah, the second Musashi was weird. Robin, Beethoven or even Newton would have been much better fits to fight an airborne enemy. They would have all required cgi, though, so you're probably right that it was a cost based thing.

I just realized that Musashi is just about the only form so far that doesn't necessarily require CGI in battle. That certainly explains a lot.

I hope that Takeru will discover about Makoto and him saving his sister. You don't think Makoto blames Takeru's father for what happened, do you?

I would agree. That's what happens when you try to squeeze in as much as you can for the 20 minutes. We all should be surprised though that this is a 2 parter, pardner.

I'm sure he does, if only because Wizard showed us what happens when you get sucked into a demonic portal.

Looks like Velma and Scooby were semi-helpful for a change this episode. But ruh-roh! Takeru finally has decided to grow a pair. Maybe that will actually hurry him on getting the other Eyecons.

Good episode. We finally got our first cliffhanger and two-part story. I like that the show has been largely episodic so far, but the idea of having some more serialization sounds good.

Makoto being a previously unmentioned childhood friend of Takuer seems pretty forced and random. They really should have set that up earlier and not four episodes after Specter first arrived.

I disagree. I mean, yes, it does feel kind of forced and overly convenient to bring up like this, but I wouldn't say it hasn't been set up previously.

Specter wasn't even properly introduced as a character until episode 5, where we had him visit the temple and even tell Juicy Kid about it, which kind of implied his familiarity with the place. And then there's all the stuff in episode 6 that hinted at him knowing Akari and Takeru in the past. To reveal in episode 7 that yeah, they indeed knew each other, doesn't really seem that out of place. Could have been shown better than it just being brought up for plot convenience, but yeah.

This show keeps getting better. Finding out Makoto and his sister were friends with Takeru and Akari was just crazy. Also, the mysterious man being Ryu Tenkuji's partner. I can't wait until they find out the history between them. Also, why does the mysterious man have a Ghost Driver? I have to see next week's episode to see what happens.

So much plot! A two-parter, too! <3

I would've like it better if Makoto's childhood with Takeru was hinted at a little earlier, but oh well. Billy the Kid was pretty neat. :)

Just watched it today. Interest in the show is officially renewed.

Just caught the subs. Much better episode, mainly because, well . . .stuff happened instead of just MOTW and mystery.

The ending was kinda random - this particular MOTW was able to survive a finisher and pull the supersentai GROW BIG for round 2 move? Why? Just an excuse to bring in Captain Ghost again and sell toys, yeah i know.

But at least stuff is starting to get connected up

I would've been more fine with that whole situation if Ghost had used Beethoven to "destroy" the Ganma at the end of the episode, leaving Billy for next week to actually get the job done.

Wouldn't have jived as well with the toy release schedule, though.

I really really enjoyed this episode. Specter keeps being my favorite thing about this show and I cant wait to see where they are going with him. I also really enjoyed that we finally get to know the villains a lot more.

Have they explained where Yurusen is getting all the equipment, like Captain Ghost, the sword, the driver, the gadgets that turn into animals?

Well, Sennin gave Takeru the Driver and he's the one that's been leaving the gadgets laying around. I guess he makes them, because Sennin is magic.

We don't really know what's up with Captain Ghost. I guess it's just one more piece of equipment, but they haven't really talked about what it actually is or anything I guess, any more than anything else. Or why it is a freaking iguana. The real weird part is the Ghostriker and Saber, though, since Takeru just kinda...used them, without even being told about them by Sennin or Yurusen, or questioning it at all. Is weird.

So...no? I guess.

Gan Gun Saber: It just popped out of the driver when Takeru first transformed so he just began using it by summoning from the driver the same way
Driver: Sennin gave it to him
Gadgets: Sennin leaves them around Takeru's base
Ghostriker: Takeru's personal bike; transforms when when Takeru transforms. It can also be summoned

This was a fantastic episode! Mostly because of how plot heavy it was and how it explains lots of background stuff. That Makoto and Takeru were best friends as kids makes sense why Spectre was at the temple in the first place and they don't recognize each other because of how much they have grown in 10 years. I feel really bad for Makoto and his sister for what happened to them and I definitely see why he is motivated now. Saionji is intriguing with being connected to Takeru's father and if they were experimenting with the Ganma's world then I just have even more questions lol. At this point Alan is the only one we don't know about and I am intrigued in who he is. I loved Ghost vs Spectre this time around mainly because of how better trained Takeru got that he can fight Spectre better this time and overall just fight better especially with the Musashi Damashii he was kicking ass with. I love that Akari and Onari managed to get the Billy the Kid Eyecon away from Saionji and I love the animal objects, they remind me of the candroids and the disc animals that I love. I loved the show before but now I love it even more knowing there is a lot more going on then just finding the 15 Eyecons like before. I can't wait for more, I hope the next episode is subbed soon. =)
