It's a little early this month but some new initial images are leaking out from the latest magazines.

Highlights
- Shurikenger to appear in Ninninger along with returning heroes Ninja Red, Hurricane Red, & Jiraiya

I'm so glad Pythagoras is happening. Even if his is just another x face. Not that a triangle face had a lot of options.

Pythagoras looks awesome. I've always admired Pythagoras after this one project I had to do in 5th grade, so it's cool to see him get an eyecon. It's also nice to see it go to Specter. Boost and Benkei are okay, nothing much to say about them. I'm glad to see the ninjas returning in Ninninger with Shurikenger.

Everything that's coming looks exciting. =) Glad to see Jiraiya and the returning Rangers and Shurikenger coming too. Also I love the Tokkon Boost form it looks better than when I first saw it.

The new villain for Ghost... is that GekiChopper?

I'm not sure if other folks know what the Benkei form's face-plate is a reference to, but according to legend, Benkei once posted himself at a bridge for duels. He partook in 1000 duels, winning 999 of them. As his victory, he collected the blades of the 999 people that he beat. The 1000th duel was the only one he lost, leading himself to swear an oath of loyalty to the winner, Minamoto no Yositsune, and therefore starting his legend of great loyalty.

Benkei's face-plate is a collection of blades, connecting itself to his time spent dueling. However, I don't know why his weapon is a hammer.

Shurikenger is back? Hells yeah!

I'll bet some people (myself included) will be wondering if it's either the original Shurikenger or Tenkai from 10 YEARS After.

Tokon Boost Damashii looks really badass. I totally want a figuart of that form.

I like all the ninja cameos in Ninninger. And how can anyone say no to Shurikenger? Lol

What is up with all of the guest stars in Ninninger? Seriously, how bad are the ratings for this show?

Toy sales are not even that good very low ratings like it been for the past two years for sentai

At this point I'm not even sure if there's anything to drum up interest in Sentai. Going for something new bombed, just staying the course is causing the franchise to die a slow death and yet taking a break is seen as a bad thing.

I'm at a loss here. Then again the buffoon that ruined both Doki Doki and Happiness Charge Precure is running Super Sentai so that's a factor to look into as well.

I was looking at that new Ganma transformation eyecon that's used by Javelle and I noticed it looks like the Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Rafael Ganma eyecons, so does that mean the 3 renaissance artist ganma are humans that transform into Ganma forms?

Ratings mean nothing these days since they don't account for online watching but still, this show must be doing pretty poorly to have this many guests appear on it. I was planning on finally catching up, but maybe I shouldn't.

They really need new blood for Sentai. They also need to take a risk with the series. Ever since Go-Buster failed Toei has been too scared to try anything new with the franchise. Staying safe does not make something good, it makes it boring.

From what I've been told that Ninninger is selling pretty well over in Japan. A lot of younger kids seem to enjoy the show a lot and it seem like it did better then Drive did in toy sales.

Toy sales always come first before ratings for Toei. Not just Toku, but all of their action shows market to kids. That includes anime also.

Man, it took me until I was staring at these scans to notice that Boost's horn is actually different from Ghost's (i say that but it's not like we had a good picture of boost at an angle before...). Like, I knew the base was a different shape, but I thought the actual horn was the same. It's actually more fiery and it looks really cool. It also makes it look more like a rhinoceros beetle. Which is cool.

Eff yeah, Shurikenger!

Ninninger's toy sales are fine.

I really like Kamen Rider Ghost Damashii Hot Sauce. The Super Ganma is awesome as well.

It's really weird that the SunglasSlasher (and thus, Ryoma and Goemon) are coming out in December but they're not debuting until January...

It's also weird that they didn't show any of the new movie forms for Ghost. What's up with that.

This Sentai is getting boring and dying that is what I see happening there needs to be a new writer for Sentai. I have a strong feeling that Sentai will end for good in like 5 years or so like you said it dying a slow death.

The buffoon would be the director or writer of the show? I did not know that two other shows you said are ruin wow. What I would love to see is the guy who wrote Kamen Rider Gaim to write a Sentai show he make it epic and have a deep story that what Sentai needs.

How do you know this for a fact?

I know toy sales comes first that what it all about but the show is bad and lazy it does not have that much going on. Also for the last two years the red leader is not that great of an actor he more of an ass. We need a red like Gokaiger, Shinkenger, Gigaman, or Dairanger to make the show interesting again.

I don't know if Urobuchy is the right guy for Sentai, but the franchise needs some serious need blood. However, new blood is not going to help much if Toei won't take a risk again and trying something completely new. The reason Zyu-Kaku is so well regarded is Toei did just that and continued it throughout the 90s. Lately, they have gotten stuck in this rut because Go-Buster failed and they are too scared to reinvent the show again. Carranger shows what a series can be like if Toei just lets the writers go hog wild. Hell, I'm quite certain the people behind Gekiranger were allowed to do what they wanted to the series for the most part as well.

Maybe for you, but I could see a kid relating to Daigo, Right or Takaharu more than some one like Marvelous or Takeru.

And the sentai isn't dying "a slow death", as long as the toy sales are good then the show is successful.

A show is successful even if it poorly written? Only if toy sales are good for you.

I don't think you understand what I saying about Sentai as a whole. Let try this again for the last two years the red leader was not as serious as other Sentai reds like Gokaiger and Shinkenger which is very popular. I just want Toei to go back to having a serious red leader and the show could be much more enjoyable do you understand now.

Regardless of quality, it is doing well in toy sales ergo it is successful. Exact reason Samurai was a success: terrible show, great sales.

And just because you prefer a serious red, doesn't mean the kids will...you know, the people it is made for. A kid could relate to a loud, extremely excited person more than the serious type. Your not the target audience, so they won't design it to how you want it. I can't speak for the quality of Ninninger (waiting til it is finished to watch it) but the past few years have been quite good, and Kyoryuger was the highest selling sentai since Gaoranger so, no. I doubt it will end soon.

Kamen Rider and Super Sentai are mass market children's TV shows, where home video sales and TV ratings are usually less of a priority. Toy sales always come first to children's action shows in Japan. That's even for non toku shows like Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Precure, Gundam (from what I've seen) and Dragon Ball. Toy sales come first and everything else later. If it was not for toy sales then I would imagine the Heisei Kamen Rider series would have ended with Ryuki or Blade.

You can't compare Ninninger's toy sales to Power Rangers Samurai. The latter is on a completely different playing field.

Kyoryuger had a serious red yay you understand that at least. It another favorite Sentai of mine the show was very well written and had lots of plots in it. That how a Sentai should be done however the toy sales for Togqer and ninnger were not anywhere as high as Shinkenger, Kyoryuger, or Gaoranger. Last I know that I not the target audience but just how long are they going to keep giving us a red who not that serious. Why sooner or later the toy sales are going to go down and kids could get tired of this type of red. Toei is just to scared to try something new for Sentai ever since Gobusters.

... Have you seen Kyoryuger? Daigo was many things, but not what I'd call serious. And considering Sentai kids probably change over every few years, the won't get sick of a not-serious red any more than they get sick of the same type of episodes each year (e.g. someone learns to be less selfish, someone meets a parent, the wedding episode etc...) . And the toys don't have to be the most successful things ever, they just have to sell well. Not everything can be a record breaker, but they can still be successful.

Also, Samurai may have been your favourite, but I wouldn't call it an excellent show. There were some good points, but not many... But the toys sold like mad, so if that's hat you mean by excellent, you may be right,
