ok, we all know that for the Showa stuff, the face is the original Kamen Rider...though I know a few who would like to use Black as the figurhead...

But who would be for the current generation? Kuuga because he was the first?

Kabuto because of the aniversary?

Decade because...well he is all of them (well all before him...)

Not really a pole, but what are your opinions?

I would have said Kuuga personally, but I have no reasoning behind that other than opinion.

My reason for Kuuga is because he was the first Heisei Rider.

Well that is my reason, but I didn't know how legitimate it would be other than "he came first" :lol

Personally, I'd say it's W. It's been a gateway series

At this point I'd probably say Double. But then I'd also argue that the show now is very different than the Kuuga-Decade years. Different enough to count as a separate era.

That was just for me personally. I liked W just fine, but don't think it's the end-all be-all of KR shows that others do.

It's Den-O.

I think Toei might have attempted to make Kuuga the figurehead by having him as a recurring character, even though he wasn't Godai Yusuke and he was shoved aside for Decade. Now, it's probably Den-O, or hell, even New Den-O.

I'd actually argue that there are two distinct eras now. The first starting with Kuuga, and the second starting with either Decade or W. Starting from W the show has become markedly different in tone.

I'd still pick Kuuga or Decade as my Heisei Rider mascot, though.

The face of Heisei?
Wasn't it always Kuuga?
All I ever hear is Kuuga this, Kuuga that from anyone who loves Heisei.
I personally, don't feel that way about Kuuga as everyone else.
With that said, I would say Kuuga, because no one else (not even Decade) comes to mind.

I'd agree with the Kuuga (For being first) or Decade (Anniversary series) if Den-O didn't happen.

Since Toei uses Den-O a lot and he's popular I'll say Den-O. But Kuuga was the begining of the Hensei Riders so he gets credit as the face of the current generation too.

Someone not showering Kuuga with praise every chance they get? Heresy!

Really though, I'd say whoever the newest guy is at the time is the face for the year, and at that, aren't Rider #1/2 the faces of the whole franchise? They show up everywhere and get more merch than any Rider who's show has ended.

Seriously, I'm not even talking about the anniversary-related stuff, they appear in stage shows that otherwise have nothing to do with them.
