And the henshin phrase for the year will be....*drum roll* Instinct Awakened(Honnou Kakusei)!

That promo had energy but nothing really stood out to me.

I think I'll wait until the first episode airs before I pass judgment on this series.

Watching the last scene where they are pimping the press conference my first impressions of them are:

- Yamato feels like he has just the right amount of hot-blooded to not go overboard(but who knows, this is just a first impression after all)
- Amu feels like the valley girl of the group(the Wagon is strong with this one)
- Sera feels like she is the big sister of the group
- Tusk feels like the reserved guru-like muscle of the group
- Leo feels like he will be the hot-blooded party boy(and looks like he just got out of an EXILE music video like the one below)

I am definitely looking forward to Zyuohger

This makes me feel like we'll be seeing a ton of those animal suits, more than their human forms. I don't know how I feel about that.

Oh god, furries have taken over sentai as well! Actually I love the idea of the animal suits, kind of like den-o with the imagin and gekiranger. My body is ready.

Huh? So you okay with Dekamaster being a dog but you not okay with 4 main ranger being Zymans? What the?!

What? This is clearly all footage of one episode beyond them waving at the end.
I'm completely willing to put money down that past the first 10 episodes, the animal forms will become nigh existent beyond brief appearances.

"It's an anniversary season. Quite the mark - 40 years! We should do something special. I KNOW! Let's take those animal suits from Dekaranger and Gekiranger and make an actual Sentai team from them!"

"Yes!"

"And we'll make the mecha all blocks, because why not!?"

"YES! This is a brilliant idea! Who do we have to thank for this marvelous idea?"

I really hope that's the case, I just find it odd that they'd feature the animal suits so heavily if we'll barely ever see them. Maybe they decided to do it because they wanted to get more use out of them, who knows. I just can't see myself being into the series if we're mostly seeing furries running around.

It's more of a concern than an actual prediction.

How is 16 seconds of footage "Heavily featured?"
It's just a promo to show off the suits, no need to get antsy.

Because every time they show those rangers outside of their suits, it's in animal form. The only time we see their human faces is when it does that scanning thing at the end.

Love what the promo showed us!! Really digging the ranger suits!

Again it's 16 seconds of footage. It's like saying the Gorilla form won't show up much because it wasn't in this promo teaser thing. Calm down, it'd be cheaper to have human actors, this trailer was designed to get people interested in the idea. This is also all we've seen so far of the cast or suits in action. Just be patient and you'll see there is nothing to worry about. Happens to people every year.

Also thoughts on the trailer itself; it was alright, I'm enjoying the suits the more that we see them, but again the show itself is what can save this, and from all the catalog scans, I'm just not to into it. The suits do look a lot better when they are not all blurry, but are still pretty meh.

I'm soooo pumped for this.

It's a new Sentai. It's hard for me to not get excited.

I'm assuming that they will be in their animal forms a lot for the first episode, but after that they'll most likely be in their human forms most of the time. I think the trailer (and the first episode) are there to showcase the suits because it's so unusual to have an almost non-human Sentai.

Being perfectly honest I think the animal people suits are really cute looking. Shark and Tiger especially. Not that I’m much into anthropomorphic animals, but I think they look fun.

So I wouldn’t mind if they’re in these suits most of the time, but they won’t. Like Suzu said, they will be heavily featured early on but will be dropped in favor of the human forms rather quickly.

I’ll definitely check the first few episodes, but since this will most likely be the same Sentai tropes over and over again I don’t think I’ll enjoy it much.

I can honestly see the cast being in their animal forms just as much as their human forms based on the fact that the only real costume pieces are the heads. It's not like Gekiranger or characters like Torin or Doggie Kruger where they get their own fully-made costumes, it's just specific clothing, gloves and then the animal heads. Sounds cheaper than a full animal costume, which could mean they're used more.

I love the animal suits and hope we see lots of them. I'm excited for this new series.

I totally agree with this. If they weren't gonna heavily feature the human forms, they would have cast stunties/suit actors and paired them with interesting voice actors. Thy have a whole cast full of young, attractive, fresh faced actors. They're gonna use them.

I'm not gonna say this already looks a million times better then ninninger coz it's not much of anything, but boy does it look fun. I have a good feeling this one. :)

If Red is the only real human, I sense an even stronger Red-focus season coming our way than the past ones have been.

I want to see that. I want to see if they can put Kyoryuger to shame with excessive red focus. That would require so much effort to pull of that I'm genuinely curious.

I thought the Gekiranger animal dudes looked weird and now these Zyuohger animal dudes look weird. Aaaaaa. The Zyuohger costumes are cool though.
