"You're a wizard Haruto"
Can't argue with the director, that's three great Sentai series he has under his belt. |

I like the trenchcoat look he has going on. Or, perhaps, meant to evoke a wizard's robe?

This has my hopes up. Hopefully it will be able to deliver on the goods.

Sounding good so far =]
My only complaint is that I prefer the more complex form changes like Den-O/OOO/Fourze as opposed to the more simple colour swap and slight change of armour like Kiva/W. However the latter make up 2 of my top 3 series so it shows it doesn't effect the overall series, just makes it harder to decide which form I like best =p I do dig the hurricane form's green though and I'm hoping his mid/final forms are cool. If one borrows elements from the dragon symbol on his shoulders/logo then I'll be happy =] |
This just doesn't feel like a Kamen Rider. He looks like he should be a sixth hero in super sentai or a new hero in general. I'm all for fresh ideas and advocate for them but, this seems too far out there for a rider series.

Color me as excited.
Though I kinda wish we could have learned the setting too. |
It sounds really good so far. My only complaint is how simple his other 3 forms are. Just straight up repaints of the base flame form? I feel like they could've done better than that.

Red- ruby
green- emerald blue- sapphire yellow - topaz |
I like everything about this series so far. I don't mind simple color swap form changes as long as they do something awesome for the final form. Maybe that's the trick, cheesy Vegas performer look to full blow hat & staff wizard! Like he starts of not appreciating magic, then fully comes to embrace it.

Yeah, I'm excited for this show now.

The more I see of this design, the more I'm digging it. Kinda has a Kiva-ish & Den-O vibe too it.
|
I know I am feeling better about this series the more I see..

It seems every Rider from Decade onward gets this same statement thrown at him when first revealed :lol I'm not a fan of Wizard's design, but I'm not judging the series based on how he looks in a couple pictures. |

I will admit, when I first saw the name I had to look it up because I don't know that many writers by name. Ever since I did, though, I've had a huge smile on my face. The first part of Hibiki is one of my favorite tv shows of all time. It had great characters, a fantastic mythology, and a well-developed and engaging story. I never thought we'd ever get any of that show's crew back on Rider ever again, but it's actually happened - and it's the guy who'll most directly affect the story, no less. Between the great designs, the Kuuga-esque form changes, and now this crew information I am unbelievably pumped for Wizard. It's going to be a long two months waiting for it to start. |

And then he'll get kicked off on the halfway point and Tomino will be brought on to finish it :lol
|
I really like those shots of the suit
|
Hibiki's writer + Magiranger/Shinkenger/Gekiranger's director = Secretcode foaming at many places on his body.

I am definately looking forward to this now.

Had Gundam on the mind, I was supposed to say "Toshiki" xD |
I want to see what all the rings do other then transform him in to different forms
|
Looks good, I'm intrigued. I really should marathon Fourze and get all caught up, so I can try to stay more up to date on this show.
The different forms remind me of Kuuga, where they're mostly repaints, with subtle changes that you may not notice at first. It looks like something about the visor changes, as well as the chest? Oh, and his mask is the face of the ring! That's kinda cool. |

And you should get caught up on Fourze. Now that they aren't having to push the toys as much, it's gotten really good. |
Looks good enough to be cool. Hope each form get's a dedicated weapon or at least a dedicated weapon mode.
|
Do we know yet: Does he do more than just lay his hand on the scanner to scan the rings? Cause.. I'm just imagining the middle of a climax-tastic battle, badguys almost defeated.. and he casually touches his crotch to gain more power. .. And I'm giggling like an idiot again.

Sure is. Kinda rooting for Spain, since I sorta speak Spanish. In fact, my appreciation for soccer comes from living in Colombia for a couple of years and some soccer terms still come more naturally to me in Spanish, like Corner kick, for some reason. I'm tempted to watch the match in Spanish, but I do appreciate that the announcers are British in the English broadcast. I love a British accent.
Anyway, Wizard! Whenabouts is it likely to start airing? |
I would tell you how they're doing at halftime, but that would ruin the fun. :)
I believe Wizard is set to air August 3rd (??) |
Yeah, don't do that. Although, as I get around to catching up on my twitter feed, I'll hear about it from the Brits I follow.
Okay, so I do have some time to catch up on Fourze. Good, guess I'll do that once the tournament is over. |
The show starts Sept 2nd? This is good news because it means I will actually get to have his henshin sequence for my panel on the weekend of the 14th.

Ahh your right Sept. I knew it was at the beginning of a month. Couldn't remember which one.

I hope this Rider is like Kuuga in that he implements all his forms for good reasons. Kuuga always used his forms when they were relevant to the fight and made sense. Kuuga as a series did a good job of justifying why Kuuga used what forms he was using. Lately with Fourze (at least from the episodes I've watched) he just arbitrarily whips out forms and switches for a lot of his fights.
