If Past Sentai Rangers Return In Zyuohger
 

If Zyuohger were to bring back past Sentai Rangers, who would you like to see coming back to Super Sentai in Zyuohger?

If we get a reunion, it will probably be a direct to video special kinda like how the Gaoranger vs. Super Sentai special was in 2001. I would like to see Noboru Kaneko back as Gaored and Hiroki Suzuki as Gekired since we are doing Jungle Animals again.

I don't mind if they bring back Animal Sentai or the past, and if they do the past, I'd probably go

I'd definitely love to see the Beast Fist masters come back, too. Sharkie Chan interacting with the shark girl in Zyuohger? That'd be beautiful~

I would like to see all the animal sentai come back. Even if some were only in suit.

Sun Vulcan, Liveman, Gingaman, Gaoranger, and Gekiranger all come back and help the Zyuohgers. It could be epic. Even if just one from each previous team comes back, it would be awesome.

Does Sun Vulcan really count as an animal Sentai when the animal motif begins and ends with the suits?
Though it would be really cool to get Live, Ginga, Gao, Geki, and ZyuOhger to do a full team transformation like Kyoryu did with the other dino teams.

I don't know about Sun Vulcan, but they ended every episode at that damn zoo, so I thought to just throw it in just in case.

But, stupidly, to their defense, this was before the age of multi-piece gattai.

To be honest though, I feel like the animal motif for that show, and even for Liveman, begins and ends with the way things look. It's not like Gekiranger where there's a strong animal motif; the looks are just based on animals. So I wouldn't have a problem with the older teams not showing up.

I'd be...So...Elated to have Sun Vulcan honored in a modern day crossover. They did so much for us...Just ecstatic.

I'm on the fence about Liveman, too, since the animal theme was more of a design byproduct for it's heavier technology theme.
Basically to help it's jets and trucks stand out from the dozen of other Sentai jets and trucks before it. Though, it did feature the first animal mecha (Land Lion).

They really don't. Lol. But it was before every ranger had their own mech, is what I meant, but you know that.

I think Liveman could show up; the show is more about teens trying to redeem their friends with a subtle nature vs science undertone thrown with the suits and mechs. But if they were left out, I would understand.

I guess if anyone comes back, it will answer what teams Toei considers to be animal themed sentai lol

Well, the teams that placed a large emphasis on animals were Gingaman and Gaoranger (And even then, I don't know how big it was for Gingaman, since I haven't gotten around to watching it...It could be minimal for all I know). Gekiranger had a very large animal theme, but it was also sharing the time with it's martial arts theme, too.

I recently finished Gingaman and it is animal themed, I will say that, but the animals played a bigger role in the story like they did in Gaoranger rather than just being the motif (like in Sun Vulcan, Liveman, and Gekiranger).

Watch Gingaman, it is pretty good.

It wasn't just the motif in Gekiranger (Their fighting style and geki techniques are based around their particular animal style, there's even geki techniques that turn you into animals (Hence why their mentor is a cat :lol)). I was just saying that Gekiranger had a lot of emphasis on the martial arts, too~

And I'll get around to it...Eventually. Once I finish Hibiki...And Liveman...And Carranger...And Agito...

Well yeah, I think it is more of a martial arts season than an animal one, but animals play a huge part in everything. Even the masters have martial arts references in their names (my favorite is Sharkie Chan..SHARKIIIIIIIN!!!!!). But the animals in Gao and Ginga more of a major role in the story, whereas martial arts plays a major role in the story for Geki. That is all I meant.
They look very alien, but they are a lion, cat, wolf, gorilla, and falcon (that looks like a dragon). The aux are a bull, rhino, and phoenix. So based on real animals (except for phoenix).

Ah, I see. I just personally place Gekiranger deeper in the "Animal theme" camp because the use of animals extends beyond the mecha. But yeah, it very much is a martial arts series at it's core.

Well, they transform into their mecha form and become more animal like in look.
I don't really know the nature or why, though. Haven't seen Gingaman...

I think Gaoranger is definitely a given, being both a prior anniversary season and an Animal themed season. Maybe it'll be a situation similar to Ninninger's special where a few animal themed Red warriors will show up, maybe it'll be a full movie, but who knows at this point?

Despite how it would clash with the theme, for sake of the Anniversary, I'd like to see one or two of the Gokaiger crew come back. See how they've been after about three or four years.

I don't really see a reason for any Gokaigers to come back, unless it's AkaRed (does he count?)

Would AkaRed count more as a Boukenger?

I just want AkaRed to have his own team, so this question can be answered. Cause I have no idea what he counts as lol

It may sound unlikely to say this but I would like to see GaoRed and GaoSilver coming back to Super Sentai in Zyuohger

Perhaps if Gekiranger were to make an appearance, they could also make use of the heavy martial arts theme. What if the Zyuohgers need help fighting, so the Gekirangers show up to show them some basic martial arts? That could be interesting...maybe. More interesting than the Magiranger and Shurikenger appearances in Ninninger.

A similar but slightly different question: Similar to how Jiraiya showed up in Ninninger, do you think there are any non-Sentai Toei characters that could show up in Zyuohger?

Hm, I always love the Dream/ Veteran Sentai and was sad they left them out in Gokaiger, so I hope we'll get one for Zyuoh...

My choices would be:

Red: Right
Blue: Ryuuji
Green: Hikari
Yellow: Luka
White: Fuuka
6th: Ucchi

Tried to stick with this season's color-scheme here, so White instead of Pink. :) If we go with only 5 members, I'd let Ucchi take the Yellow spot, because they usually don't bring back rangers from past anniversaries for that.

Gao Black probably most likely.
Gao Red MAYBE.
Gao Silver?
