Would Nexus be a good first Ultraman?

Nexus was my first Heisei Ultraman series. I remember it being pretty dark, but still very enjoyable.

Yes- it's unrelated to everything else (except the Ultraman: The Next Movie), and it's a fun watch.

It was my first and I enjoyed it a lot. Just keep in mind that it's kind if atypical for an Ultra series.

Good, I hope you enjoy it. If you can find it, you may want to watch the movie "The Ultraman" first. It's rarely mentioned in Nexus itself, but it does technically serve as a prequel to the series.

You won't really be missing out on a lot if you don't see it, though.
