I must admit, I understand why the previous specials were grouped together. But considering these episodes are literal episodes with the other series getting a fight cameo in, why are they combined into one thread? I did like the way they approached this, we got some more character building with Zyuohger, and Ghost got some more plot developments out of the way. With the crossover mostly dealing with the side plot of a Shocker Monster wreaking havoc with Ghost and the Zyuohger's having to team up together to stop them. It's pretty low key and I can appreciated that. |
It seem the Kamen Rider 1 movie between episode 24 and episode 25.
|
I really dig how Azald's players and schemes are basically about brute strength and how Kubar's are more cruel and twisted. Kubar is a fucked up dude and I'm intrigued to see what stuff he has planned later in the series.

So do I need to watch Ghost to enjoy this episode? I ask because its titled as episode 7.
|
Seems like Fujioka did not do the voices for that scene and instead got Inada who we know and love as Doggie.

I rather enjoyed the Amu and Tusk plot, so I'm glad I watched it. It was a rather decent episode that helped develop them some, so it's worth it.
The Ghost stuff was...Okay. There wasn't really much he contributed, so eh. I do hope the Dethgalians get the idea of using multiple players at once due to how effective splitting the Zyuohgers turned out here. |
Poor Amu. She got abused by Tusk! Well Amu almost MURDERED Tusk when she was brainwashed! Tusk got some anger issues! No wonder why Amu doesn't want to do chores because she doesn't want Tusk to go HULK on her!
I bet Zyuohger doesn't know that Takeru is a deadman! Next episode will be Leo's focus episode as he got involved with a wannabe musician while Sela must find a way to cover her gill because a Deathgalien is a LOUD one! Tusk, Calm down! It just a chores! You don't have to be angry at Amu for doing a poor job of chores! Tusk need an anger management class! |
The Zyuohger episode was pretty solid. Good development, Ghost cameo was pretty fun. All around a decent episode, though I'm starting to feel like Tusk's acting is a bit stiff.
The Ghost episode...was definitely an episode of Ghost. Yamato and Ichigou cameos were pretty half-baked. Not a particularly good or enjoyable episode, though at least the part where Robin Hood and Goemon were called out to fight along Grateful was pretty neat. Also, confused about something. I was just talking about this in the Ghost thread, that circumstances had yet to present themselves to allow Takeru to use any of his three Boost Damashii on his Ore Transicent. Then I see this episode and...here is that circumstance? And yet, rather senselessly, going straight to Goemon turns him into Boost automatically? What? That really does not make any sense. Silly Ghost. Oh well. |
I liked the part of this week's Zyuohger that was actually Zyuohger. The stuff with Amu and Tusk was enjoyable and the payoff joke at the end was pretty funny. All of the stuff with the Shocker monster and Ghost cameo was a complete waste of time, though. Added nothing but a couple fight scenes to an episode that already had an interesting plot. Curious to see if the crossover aspects of the Ghost episode are equally half-assed.

As far as crossovers are concerned this one was the worst so far. Because it wasn’t really a crossover, it was an extensive cameo. Felt more like a Kamen Rider Taisen movie with the random Sentai appearance than anything.
The positive part is that both episodes had stuff going on in their universe, the Zyuohger part was nice, Ghosts was… Ghost (meh), but in turn the parts where they fought together felt random and unimportant. The tie-in to the movie was also pretty bad. In previous crossovers they at least had characters from the movie appear in the story or tied the occurrence of the crossover itself into the movie (With Gaim/ToQger the Badan Empire was the enemy of the crossover, Drive/Ninninger focused on the creation of the machine Shocker would use to send Sango back in time) but here? They just have Shocker monsters appear and then cut to Rider 1 randomly. Wut? So yeah, terrible crossover, nice short Zyuohger episode, not so nice short Ghost episode. |
Why they won't leave Onari alone! They treat him like a punching bag!
Why this Porcupine shocker keep offer Kamen Rider Ghost and Zyuoh Eagle to join Shocker? He's STUPID! Even Wurga says so I rather watch Zyuohger more than Kamen Rider Ghost! :lolol |

Haven't actually watched the Ghost episode yet, I'm still playing catch up on that. The Zyuohger, on the other hand, was pretty poor. The A plot, the stuff with Tusk and Amu was petty good, but I definitely agree that Ghost's cameo was just meh.
I guess I was just expecting more, the last two crossovers were actually good, this just seemed like a last second thing. |
I honestly didn't care for the plot of the Zyuohger episode. I only cared for the fight scene with Ghost which was pretty cool.
I thought Ghost's episode was pretty good. Omari being possessed by Goemon was pretty funny. I hope there are more eyecon possessions in the future. |
Good god, I thought this was the worst episode of the series thus far. The crossover was forced and unnecessary (and how does Ghost even know what Shocker is?) and the whole thing between Tusk and Amu was resolved without any effort, originality, and done way too quickly. This was a terrible episode to no end. They should have either made this a two parter or just had the Ghost storyline and saved the Amu/Tusk stuff for the next episode.
Oh, and this did nothing to make me want to go and actually watch Ghost. |
I wish it was more of a crossover and that Specter, Necrom, and the other Zyuohgers were around for it.
|
Finally got around to the Ghost episode and am feeling very ambivalent towards it.
The continuing development of Alain and his family remains interesting, but the rest of the episode... yikes. I didn't mind Yamato's cameo as it was actually pretty fun, but the Shocker monster sucked and the stuff with Onari as Goemon was fucking painful. I really wish they hadn't wasted so much time with the movie promo stuff, as it holds back what could have been a good next step in the story. |

Yurusen was hilarious in this, anyone catch him do the Zyuohger "Ahh...ah...ahh...ahh...ah!" in the Zyuohger episode? LMAO!
|
I haven't watched the Zyuohger episode yet but the Ghost episode was fantastic. Keeping with the story of Ghost and just having Yamato for the fight was great too, also pretty interesting throwing in the movie tie-in to it too. Goemon taking over Onari was really hilarious and them comparing swords and posing was great too. I can't wait to see how it goes with Takeru and Alain teaming up and trying to get Makoto back. I also can't wait to see what happens in Zyuohger with Ghost because Takeru and Yamato are so awesome together.

I just realized, this episode of Ghost marks the middle of the season. We're now half way done with Ghost which is pretty hard to believe. Let's hope for an Ben better second half.
