Legend Hero (Korean Tokusatsu)
 

Not sure if there's a thread for it already so I'll make one here.

A Korean and Chinese co-production tokusatsu series called "Legend Hero" was released at the start of the year, and last month the first two episodes have been released on Youtube with English subtitles. It's not that bad, I'm enjoying it and hope to see more. The best way I could describe it is if someone combined the Rider War from Ryuki with the armor design from Chouseishin and the use of mechas/zords from Super Sentai. I'd recommend it...

Just watched the first two episodes of this. It was absolutely brilliant. It reminded me a lot of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai merged. Liu Bei is an absolutely brilliant and fun main character. I love the story with the Dream Battle and the Angels and how deeply tied the Hero Spirits are connected to them. Guan Yu is so awesome too. I can't wait to watch more.

Looks fantastic- definitely a Rider / Sentai hybrid- can't be a bad thing!

If you mean subs... I'm done translating episodes four and five. Four is almost ready to release, and five is with translation checking. I'm waiting for episode one to be timed so I can translate it too. If you mean official subs, then nothing's changed as far as I know. The official subs' quality is fairly mediocre/not particularly great, though...

If you mean the show... It's finished airing. I don't want to spoil anything. *shrug*

I got to say, this show is getting better and better! A lot of foreshadowing in this episode as well...

...I really hope this doesn't come off as vain, but I really feel the need to ask. Should we keep our fansubs going? People always seem to get so excited whenever the official subs release a new episode despite being Engrishy and rather inaccurate, but our own work's received little to no fanfare compared to what we usually do. I'd just like to know if there's an audience out there that would prefer/would prefer waiting for good quality, or if we're just wasting our times. ;~;

NO! I was actually bummed when I saw these because I figured you'd stop. The fact is, at some point, these official versions are going to be taken down and then what? We need better translated subs that will float around the community for years to come!! So, IMO, you should continue.

Why would the officials be taken down?

Show runs it's course, page gets taken down to promote something else. It happens!

Unfortunately not, we've still only translated two episodes (03 and 04). It's partly because I'm busy prepping for a big trip overseas, and also because the fact of the matter is that I'm just not a full-time translator. My main (and biggest) responsibility is editing the scripts for our Japanese projects, so that's where most of my energy tends to go. Heck, the only reason I stepped up is 'cause I seem to be the ONLY Korean translator around these parts... ;~;

I don't understand? Legend Heroes finished airing awhile ago, I think the channel and its videos are specifically for the international audience to enjoy? Plus, wouldn't they start getting paid for views once they hit a certain number of subscribers or something? Not to mention the free advertising... Iunno, I guess it's possible but I can't really see it happening though. :S

Anyway, I guess I'll wait for more feedback if anybody else wants to chime in. Honestly, I wouldn't be too upset if we stopped. I really enjoy the practice and all, but I'd have a lot more free time/more time to focus on our Japanese projects and that's never a bad thing.

Well Angel, I'm sorry to hear that y'all haven't been doing these. The only time the video pops up on my YouTube is when that Moonlight group does it. But....I hope y'all succeed. I hope to see more from your group later down the road!
