Gigantic Series Daizyujin Revealed
 

Seems that the Jumbo Megazord that was seen many many SDCCs ago is finally going to see a release of some kind, as a Premium Bandai exclusive in Japan:

The thing will retail for 24,800 yen and will be released in July 2016.

Huh. I thought it would be 2 feet tall.

I want it, but the lack of articulation is not worth that price.

Don't forget that the size will make shipping this beast overseas a nightmare.

It's cool that Zyuranger is getting more love in Japan given that was not as popular as Jetman with older fans when it air in 1992. Either way, I would love to own this if I can afford it. The shipping and middleman fees will make it hard for me to save up.

It's a vinyl figure. Not everyone is into figures with articulation.

Does Zyuranger really need more love? It got one of the few Sentai SRCs, and I think the initial Zyuranger Figuarts released weren't because of BoA pressuring them.

Considering the size and the amount of paint masking involved, the price is more than fair for a vinyl statue of this nature.

Yeah, but I got that Godzilla back in 1988 and I believe it was $20t. This is like $250 plus shipping.

Different toy, different market. This is made for the hardcore fans that really like Zyuranger in Japan and are going to pay a big price tag for it.

Because 1988 pricing and currency values are totally the same as those in 2016.

It's a super limited edition highly detailed vinyl. Articulation isn't the point, so if that's your complaint it's invalid. If pricing is your point simply look at the numerous other vinyls of this nature that X-Plus has produced in the last decade. That are actually more expensive than this Daizyujin. This isn't bizarre pricing and the features of this figure are pretty standard.

i want, but the price, that's a bit of a problem

if i wanted another unarticulated megazord.. i'd just get the original or the legacy version.

it's so frustrating that there aren't "masterpiece" versions of these zords.

Stability can prove to be a problem, though.
If it's an articulated Megazord you're pining for, SRC does have a decently poseable Daizyujin available, but it doesn't convert or separate.
