Kamen Rider Ghost Episode 30- "Eternity! A Heart's Scream" Discussion
Alain is devastated by the harshness of the human world while Takeru takes a chance on another spirit...
As always you can view this episode via live stream on Saturday by heading over to Taima TV. They play other miscellaneous programs up until the live broadcast starts. Live Streams of the Superhero Time block start at 6:30 PM Eastern Standard Time on Saturdays. |
Fumi Fukushima die....and Aran become really sad.....
Hmm...I think the best part in this episode is Aran's character development.... Ganmaizer Fire defeated by Ghost Grateful Damashii, Specter Deep Specter Damashii, and Necrom Necrom Damashii... Next episode....new Ganma Ultima Eyecon user appear! His name is Gyro... And....about Ryu and Saionji's past.... I hope the other Ganmaizer will be appear in the some of next episodes... |
When will they debut Deep Specter's berserk mode? Nothing's happening!

Anyway loved how Alain is now a hero. Now hopefully in the next episode we'll see Sennin and Ryu's connection. Even figure out the clue on Edith too! |
I guess you're right. I too was sort of expecting Deep Specter to take more of an immediate toll on Makoto than it has been.
|
By the way, for those who aren't aware, Gyro, the Ganma Ultima who's debuting next episode, is played by Takaiwa Seiji.
|
Alain's character development is really good here. A double-bill of Heroic Legend #1 and this episode works well. Enemy rider turns good is hardly an original plot point but I like how it turned out with him.
Although... are they keeping that outfit? I get the symbolism it's just perhaps not the best choice. I do agree though, for all the warnings Deep Specter hasn't really had any negative effects yet. |
I'm thinking they're dragging the Deep Connect plot quite too much. It has been 11 episodes and all we know by now is Igor preparing something with neural network OS under Adel's command and that's all, really. They did not have impact for the story enough like secret organizations in previous Rider series (Smart Brain, ZECT, etc.)
|
Okay, so I did like the triple transformation and subsequent fight scene, plus it's nice to see Alain finally complete his evolution into a hero with a stupid sweater parka. Now that he and Makoto are both full-fledged good guys, we're hopefully done with people standing around and staring at the ocean.
The rest of this episode had some real problems, though. It seems like they were trying to do way too much at once, which led to a lot of moments where the episode seemed to just completely skip over transitional scenes (Team Ghost decides to help the guy from Black Blood then all of a sudden they're getting attacked in a hallway; the MotW dies, then all of a sudden Yuki and her dad's ghost are there). The choppy pacing and editing here were really distracting in a lot of places. |
Fight was good. Especially Alain's untransformed fight. Necrom overcoming his limits is kind of awesome but I think that the explanation given for that is kind of poor. I was sure that Necrom had to consume Ganma commandos so his sudden lift of limitations seemed to come out of nowhere.
Taikawa Seiji as Ultima General Gyro is kind of good too. |
The Last Episode of Fumi! :cry
Seiji Takaiwa as Alain's Teacher sound interesting and cool |
Episode was all really good (Sidenote: Takeru looks good in a suit) until we got to the end. Why did you trust him? You haven't defeated Igor, you haven't stopped the spooky plans, you walked into a trap AND YOU THINK YOU'VE WON?
*sigh* If Shinnosuke was here, he'd have dismantled this plan by now. And If Kouta were here, there wouldn't be a building left. And if Haruto were here... Rinko would be doing it. :p But, minor thoughts aside, the rest of the episode was damn good. Triple henshin was nice, death was well handled, and more Ganmaizer and plot stuff with Takeru. |
What strikes me as particularly stupid is Takeru has an extremely simple way of checking if people are possessed or not. Just do the whole "draw eyecon out" deal to, you know...draw out the Ganma Eyecons. Simple shit.
Same with the dad. He could have done it ages ago but didn't because Reasons. What reasons I don't know. Bad ones. |
The Alain stuff this episode was good except the whole surpassing his limit thing but then again the whole Necrom limit thing was pretty inconsistent to begin with so whatever.*shrugs*

I'm sure Takeru will check out the Deep Connect company again if they somehow discovered something amiss and what they didn't notice was in camouflage.
As for Takeru's dad, I'm sure he'll discover how he met Sennin and maybe he'll discover why Edith looks just the same as the hermit and Takeru thinks that he was probably setup or betrayed. |
This episode was super freaking phenomenal and brilliant. Also insanely emotional. Both Fuma's funeral and Yuki's father's send off were heart breaking, I felt tears coming on at both moments. I can't believe they did a death like that. Alain's development and just seeing back at those moments to empower him and how much he's grown is freaking fantastic. Also his moment coming in with the Takoyaki and eating it as he fights is one of the best moments of Kamen Rider history. His fight scenes were great especially with him getting past his limits. I like how Takeru helped Yuki get the courage to go back and explain her feelings to her father and have her open her heart. Also that Takeru, Makoto, and Kanon helped Alain realize his own feelings in his heart was also wonderful too. Also Takeru and Makoto both also kicked ass in true Kamen Rider style here and Koichi Sakamoto does action beautifully here. He needs to direct another Kamen Rider or Sentai season again real soon. Yeah overall I think this was one of the best episodes of the series and highlighted the three Riders wonderfully. I can't wait for more.

Meh.
Fumi dying came out of nowhere and it doesn’t really work for me. Why? Because they shove one of the most important aspects of Alain’s and Fumi’s relationship into the stupid "The Heroic Tale of Alain" mini episode from the BluRay release. Which has a key element in it which is very interesting (Alain appearing in the past and in different stages of Fumi’s life) but wastes the rest of its 10 minute runtime with stock footage and more Takoyaki jokes. Ugh. So this episode which involves Fumi's death feels incomplete to me. Good stuff, but chopped into unnecessary bits, especially with Yuki thrown in there. Like, the Houdini stuff is great and, but it should’ve happened during the time when Makoto couldn’t use Houdini. There was this terrible episode where Houdini "tested" Makoto… by possessing his bike and running him over frequently. That was terrible, why didn’t they use Yuki there? Have Yuki turn up, Houdini possessing her and leave it to Makoto to solve this instead of Takeru. After he succeeds, Houdini grants him his power. And by having that plot handled they could’ve had more time for Alain and Fumi and could’ve included the crucial parts from “The Heroic Tale of Alain” to make this episode the way it should’ve been. The Deep Connect parts were also quite useless specially since Takeru is all like "Yeah we trust that guy now" but he only needs one hand gesture to find out if he has a Ganma inside him or not. So why not do that? Stupid. Another typical Ghost episode IMO, potential for something great but ignored in favor for more subplots which in turn suffer from it. At least the action was good, but I felt like it was time for Alain to get a new form. The whole "he beat the limitations" thing makes no sense, the Necrom systems has limitations, not Alain. Am I supposed to think his heart power fuels the suit now or what? They should’ve just given him a straight upgrade. Even if it’s just a minor retool/repaint. |
