The Bulk & Skull Appreciation Thread
I feel these two are more than worthy of a thread dedicated to them.
I'm slowly working my way through rewatching MMPR-In Space between other things and enjoying the progression the characters made during this time. I just watched "When is a Ranger Not a Ranger" from s2 which was a pretty big turning point for them being the heroes of the day and all. I'm actually enjoying most of their scenes this season, unlike the first where they just grated on me. Its just a pity Samurai seems to have just reverted Bulk back to being a guy who gets covered in things :( |
It's funny how much Bulk and Skull grew over the course of the series. Now they are as much a part of it as the Rangers themselves. It's a pity Saban's stuck on his "Let's make everything like the first season because money and nostalgia" mindset.
But it would be nice to see if Bulk and/or Skull make it to Megaforce. |
I'd be awesome to get both of them back.
|
Was the rumor of skull showing up in samurai true?

Guess I'm watching the Samurai finale then :lol

Oh man I love Skull. Remember that time he trapped the Bat dopant under a tanker truck & just walked away as it exploded? Man that was awes...wait which Skull are we talking about?
|
That's too bad he's only gonna be in the finale.
|
It may only be in the finale but we're getting both Bulk and Skull. That's a bit of a milestone when you think about it. It's good to hear this tidbit of news as those two were quite a good source of humor back in the early days.

It was during their Spartacus moment in In Space, right? |
Bulk and Skull really hit their stride in season 2, I think, when they decided that they were going to discover the Rangers' identities. They had some great schemes back then, including the one device which would sniff the Rangers, then they would try to match that smell to all of the teens of Angel Grove. I remember in the last segment of the show them basically turning a small leaf blower on everyone they ran into. Classic.
Didn't both of them get to direct a few episodes when their characters were not being used much during the third season? I want to save that I remember that being the case. |
Yeah Paul Schrier directed a few s3 eps and some during Turbo.
