You just know there's gonna be somebody who buys this just for completionist sake.

So no Blu-Ray release? DVD's are pointless now unless there is no other choice. The series has been film in HD since 2011. Is there is any reason for them not to put it on Blu-Ray?

I have been Waiting for this for over a year. I can now make room on my Shelve. I can see this selling. No more Volume sets.
I hope they come with the Christmas & Halloween ep's & the Super Megaforce set come's with the Extended Edition of the Legendary Battle.

From the way it sounds its cause the Samurai/ Super Samurai Blu-ray sets sold very poorly. That pretty much gave Lionsgate an indication there wasn't a market for them.

Probably because kids don't have Blu-ray players in the back of the SUV. They have DVD players.

This is great news. I'll definitely be picking these up. Hopefully we won't have to wait this long for season sets of Dino Charge and Dino Supercharge.

I would imagine most people will have a Blu-Ray player by now. Blu-Rays came out in 2006 and in 2006, it was predicted that HD TV's will be everywhere in 10 years. It's 2016 and you can find a HD TV everywhere even small ones for cheap prices. In 2011, TV shows started going in HD.

I see no point on buying a DVD unless a HD version does not exist. When DVD's came out in 1997, they took over people's houses after 1999 and became a household item by the early 2000's. You would think Blu-Rays would be the same thing by now.

I think it's just because DVDs are cheaper to produce.
And everyone knows this particular set is gonna shelfwarm :p

Well, yeah. That's the only reason anyone should buy these.

I think the reason the Super Samurai blu rays sold poorly is because Samurai did not have a complete season release in either format.

I have Megaforce from the Shout set, but I'm down for Super Megaforce.

You have a PS3, PS4 or Xbox One, it can play blu-rays. There are even PC's and portable Blu-Ray players too.

Admittedly I am one of them. Super Megaforce is my second favorite season of PR after Mighty Morphin so this is one I'm excited for.

I only hope it has the extended version of Legendary Battle.

Not by definition. The world tends to think that EVERYONE follows new tech the second it comes out. The reasons vary, and answers range from simplistic to fantastical:

A): People don't have money to get something new

B): People are comfortable with what they have

C): Not everyone believes in new, modern tech just because it is new, modern tech

D): Some have never truly understood or adapted to new, modern tech

E): If something isn't broken, why replace it? (I personally have only changed my phone from an old Android II to the Droid Turbo simply because I had to, but I knew I was eventually gonna have to anyway)

When the world changed to DVDs, I stuck with VHS for a good long while. This ultimately was not feasible, and I'm content with the change (though discs don't have "drop-protection" like a videocassette).

In theory, the DVD is probably still cheap to mass produce, so don't write their obit just yet.

P.S.: Only get these sets for children or if they have tangible extras. One can see everything from "Mega Mission-to-Legendary Battle: Extended Version" on Netflix (even though I got the Extended Version DVD because I didn't have proper access at the time).

Well DVDs had many clear advantages over VHSs.

Alot of people myself included can't really tell a tangible difference between a Blu-Ray and DVD movie.

I'm not touching SMF unless they bring it out to BD. I see no point in buying an inferior format.

Didn't even know they brught SS to BD. However, then I guess I won't be owning SMF, so no big loss really.

yea lions gate released it then nothing came of samurai on blu ray due to it seem it did not sale well.

Well there goes every meal I had for the last seven years, a lung, and a kidney.

Oh, well maybe that is why it didn't sell well. People don't want the second half of a series on BD if they can't get the first half.
