Zyuohger Episode 18: "Engraved Fear!" Discussion
 

The Zyuohgers have been completely overwhelmed by Genis' Extra Player. When a new Dethgalien arrives, they are almost too afraid to fight. Is this the end of the Blood Game??

Zyuoh the World continue to destroy the Zyuohgers in battle.

Tousai Zyuoh was bad ass in battle against Wild Zyuoh King causing the Mecha to go back into cube form.

The Mecha battle was stop by Geins who call Da World back to base.

I love the way Zyuoh Eagle grab Da World arm with the eagle riser.

The battle at the end between both Da World and Zyuoh Eagle in the river was perfectly choreographed.

This battle remind me of the battle between Gokai Red and Basco had at the end of Gokaiger glad to see more tough battles in Sentai. It always bring out the best in the Sentai red leader.

Next episode Zyuoh Eagle tried to get through the World it airs in two weeks.

Looks as though Cube Panda is in the next episode.

Next episode is the 26th? Darn.

Episode was okay. I was kind of pissed that the only reason why Zyuoh The World didn't just axe off the rangers was because Genis stopped him. I get why, but still...Dammit.

I liked the mind games the villains played of scaring the rangers just by yelling out The World's name. That was neat. I also liked the rangers just admitting to themselves that they're afraid of him. After getting used to teams usually pumping themselves up by going "We'll beat him because we believe we can!" it was rather nice to see them just straight admit "Yeah, he terrifies us." (Also, I liked the joke about Tusk that occurred earlier in the episode).

I also particularly enjoyed that Yamato didn't win his one on one fight. It makes sense and it's fitting.

So...Yeah.
Tousai Zyuoh is okay, Panda seems to be showing up next episode, and it seems they're already starting The World's path towards righteousness if the teaser is any indicator. Let's see how that goes.

The World sure is cool. I wish his powers were more like Yamato's where he only summons one animal at a time. It'd be cooler in my opinion. Also it seems like The World might become ZyuohTheWorld sooner than expected.

Really liked the one-on-one fight between Yamato and TheWorld - I love it when Toei goes to a filming location outside of the standard quarry, warehouse, or stadium. I also liked how the show addressed the heroes' fear of TheWorld; much more realistic than them rallying to beat him out of sheer determination.

Ugh The World is a horrible name. Every time they say it makes me want to find the moron who came up with that name and shove a globe (aka The World) down his/her throat.

So far that is my only complaint about this series.

The World ALMOST KILLED YAMATO!

It seem something is prevented The World from killing Yamato? But who?

I think this was a great episode.

The battle between Cube Rhino, Wolf and Crocodile against the Zyuohger’s cubes was much more interesting than their direct fight in the last episode. I like TheWorld’s mecha, looks cool.

Trumpus returning was fun too, especially since he played on the fact that he returned upon dying.

And the fact that the Zyuohgers actually are afraid makes them so much more relatable than your typical heroes who are just tough and optimistic right away after being defeated by a strong foe.

Lastly, the fight between ZyuohEagle and TheWorld in the river was really well shot and fun to watch. I also like that they’re giving Yamato a reason to save TheWorld now, instead of having them fight without a reason for like 5 more episodes.

All in all a good episode. Also, Mario saves the day again, he’s awesome. And, now that I’m at it, I really liked that they had Tusk revert to his Zyuohman form during that scene, I noticed that and asked myself why they had that happen and if it was an error, but once they explained that later I thought "Huh, neat, so it was on purpose.", I think that was a nice touch.

Sadly no episode this week :(

I thought it was a good episode. I don't like Tousai Zyuoh but Cube Wolf *_*

I'm glad they didn't resolve their problem with the usual "I'm sure we'll beat him because why not". And Tusk going back to his Zyuman Form and The World catching Sela with his weapon were hilarious.

The ending was incredible but Zyuoh Gorilla and Zyuoh TheWorld had put on a good battle

I've loved the two The World episodes so far.

I'm not sure how much I like the idea of them redeeming him so quickly, though. Hopefully they're not best pals by the end of the next episode. I want them to milk that conflict for a bit longer.

This episode was excellent. Mainly because of two reasons. The average person would be scared of an enemy that could beat you twelve ways into Sunday. And taking on said enemy one-on-one won't automatically result in a victory. The Zyuougers are so much more relatable than some other Sentais (although I haven't seen much).

That said, I do like one-on-one battles. And for some reason, I found TheWorld's calm entrance into the fray very awesome.

One hell of an episode! So bummed the next one will be in 2 weeks though... Any predictions what kind of a 6th ranger TheWorld will be once he becomes a protagonist? i.e. a loner/drifter

I'm guessing a Hardcore Loner from the likes of DragonRanger, TimeFire, GaoSilver, Go-OnGold and GoseiKnight

I think he'll be the most energetic member of the team, giving Leo a run for his money.

We literally have nothing to go on in terms of personality, so why not?

What could be concerning is that, once ZaWaruoldo is broken out of Genis' service, he might still treat all of this as a game that isn't deserving of his attention. He'd be a destructive, temperamental force that just so happens to be working with the good guys, and his character arc could center around trying to get him to be a decent human being.
