Don't hate it. Tagline kinda works too, for this sort of thing.

I love it. I was hopping to see more. But it is a teaser so all good. I hope to find this poster one day.

Looms pretty cool, I just wish it had something that represented Power Rangers. Even a thunderbolt would be fine.

It's not bad. It's not in your face, but seems somewhat lifeless.

Yeah, this poster would not make me think Power Rangers at all.

Why are they standing on the car like a buncha assholes? I don't get it, they're just standing their posing for what reason? It'd be better if they were all sitting on it like they were just hanging out normally.

I like the stars forming a thunderbolt, though. That's Power Ranegrs cheese at it's best. It also alludes to their powers coming from space.

I look and all I can think of is the guy standing to the side going "Why can't I stand on the car, too?"

Honestly save for the thunderbolt there really isn't anything that screams Power Rangers. If I would have never none about this being the teaser or if I gave it a quick glance at a poster lineup in a theater, I'd just assume it was another standard teenage sci-fi drama/romance/adventure/whatever.

It's cause they're teenagers...

I kinda like the subtlety of it all.

They are looking over at the city getting a city wide view from atop the car. The only exception is the one who isn't who is not on top of the vehicle.

It's like they couldn't pay for a larger SUV to all stand on.

The lightning bolt star motif is well done though. Just hope it doesn't turn into a Jem and the Not Holograms.

Uh, I hate to disappoint you, but PR is banking on Millennials seeing it, along with the kids, since the people nostalgic about PR are millennials.

It looks like a Reddit user NukeNipples (name in spoiler tags because it might be offensive, somehow, to someone), has identified the stock photo they built the poster on. It's crazy that a studio would be quite that obvious. Up your game, Lionsgate/Saban!

Haha, this is so true! Power Rangers debuted in 1993, right? And it's target audience was 8-12 year olds.

Considering that anyone born between 1982-2000 is a Millennial... It seems to me that only Millennials and post-Millennials would ever possibly be into this movie, nostalgically or otherwise.

I got into PR when I was three years old back in 1994. Most people around my age group still has found memories of MMPR.

This movie is likely going to market to old fans, kids watching PR now on Nick and non fans similar what Transformers did back in 2007. Transformers did well enough that even non fans of the shows got into the franchise.

Well, not ONLY Millennials. Some of us Gen Xer's were super robot fans prior to Power Rangers and even owned a couple Megazords by way of the Godaikin series before we even realized what they were.

But, we are also pretty much in the minority, for sure.

I don't feel PR when I see this. And that's a bad sign. I wish they would liven things up with the marketing. Show some fun & color. I can only tell what this is based on what forum I just happen to be on right now. You're average Joe & Jane aren't gonna be able to identify this easily.

Nope. Early 80s-through-Early 00s. The exact year varies between commentators/researchers, but the debate is usually whether the millennial generation starts in '80, '81, '82, '83, or '84. I've never read an account that would indicate that the generation starts in 1990.

And the movie wants to grab 2 crowds, the nostalgia market, and the kids, so they're totally aiming the appeal of the movie towards millennials~

Not the worst thing? But looks like a generic poster for a generic movie. Doesn't remotely scream POWER RANGERS or may thing to the like. At least the Lightning bolt is there, for effect.

They also probably want to market it to new people that are not fans of the franchise similar to what Transformers '07 and TMNT 2014 did.

I've seen much worse teaser posters. But this is just so 'meh'. Like they weren't even trying. If you want to generate buzz, this is not how you do it. Because looking at the poster, clearly this movie is about four people interested in weird space phenomenon. So interested, they need to stand on a car so they can be a whole five feet closer to the stars. But the main character is probably the fifth guy turning his back to the sky. He is probably doing so because that wish he made on a shooting star never came true, so he'll never trust any star ever again.

They could of just have the five rangers running beside each other in the distance towards the viewer. instead of what looks like five people who's vehicle broke down away from the city, getting on the car so someone passing by would notice and help them as it gets dark, Seriously though this poster could of been used for a crappy horror film
