Bu Toys Reveals Space Ironmen Kyodain Figures!
 

The original Space Ironmen, Skyzel & Grounzel, from Uchuu Tetsujin Kyodain are on the way!

Not to be confused with their modern updates from the Fourze Movie: Space, Here We Come. So far we only have a teaser image confirming their size, 200 mm or roughly 7.8". Pricing & release date are to be determined. But for now if you're a huge fan of obscure tokusatsu like me, this is fantastic news.

I've never heard of these guys before. Which made me look up the intro at least, and it features a Japanese woman singing until she suffers from a severe mental breakdown. Neat.

Wow. Those are gorgeous. I may have to look into getting those when more details creep out.

They were also the basis for the movie baddies in the Fourze movie which was sad to see.
Also the blue one can transform into a launch pad and the red one a rocket.

I'm one of those plebs who only know them (And the black knight character) from the Fourze movie.

What I like about Kyodain is that they have a very timeless retro look in my opinion. I could probably put these on a desk or shelf and people who know absolutely nothing will assume it must be one of those modern designer toys.

They're beautiful. I'm going to go look them up. I'm guessing they were heroes before the Fourze update?

Yeah.
I don't know why, but when Toei revived the Akumizer 3 and the Space Ironmen Kyodain, they turned them into villains.
Kind of surprising that when Inazuman returned, he actually remained a hero :p

To be fair that Inazuman still started off as a kind of bad guy working for the Hercules Zodiart. When he was in his Sanagiman form he was baited into fighting Fourze. He came around once his true Inazuman form was freed though.

Now we just need a modern evil Zubat update :)

Too bad Kikaider got the reboot a few years back. We could've used an evil version of him, too~

Space Ironmen Kyodain is probably one of the most bizarre tokusatsu series I've ever seen. Everything from the purposefully disorienting editing to the puppets used for when Skyzel and Grounzel speak in their jet and car forms. It really must be seen to be believed. Personally, I'm not a fan of the evil versions of Kyodain but it doesn't bother me as much as the evil Akumaizer 3.

Anywho, these figures look superb. Skyzel and Grounzel are two of my favorite suits designs from that era, so I'd love to be able to pick them up.

They seem to be a company based in Hong Kong. They had a presentation at Toy Soul 2015 that showed off a lot of figures based on Toei super robots, Tatsunoko heroes, and Ultraman.

There's a giant death machine is the Hakaider movie that's based on Kikaider, that'll do :p :lol

Update! Bu Toys has release additional images of both Skyzel & Grounzel! They have also confirmed rough pricing for each. in HK$ they price out to $1250 each, so roughly in $160 each USD before shipping.

They currently do not have a US distributor for them either but they are working on that.

A bit more costly than I was expecting (Taking their height into account, I was thinking they'd be $100).
I'm also kind of surprised they're actually looking for a US distributor.

I wonder if the pricing means that these are going to have diecast parts like some of their other figures apparently have.

Ouch, I don't know if I can swing £120 per figure :(

I gotta be honest, I'm still in. I've been offloading my DX stuff to make a little extra money anyway and damn it all I've been dreaming of something this obscure getting a premium treatment for a long time. I will buy these things and make some insanely detailed galleries of them.

Skyzel & Grounzel will apparently be including a HUGE selection of accessories including their alternate vehicle modes. Got a problem with their pricing now? Because I certainly don't. These are 100% buys for me.
