Nice! That's probably a guaranteed buy, but I find myself hoping, rather a lot, that they do a Dairugger XV as well. I think I'm one of two people in the world that loved the Vehicle Force Voltron.

I don't know. Every time I seem to bring up Vehicle Force online, people break out the pitchforks and torches. That's nice to hear if it is.

Hilariously, I was thinking about making a joke about how classic Voltron gets all the love when I first checked this thread, but since I'm not a Voltron fan, I didn't feel like starting a fight (If one even would start. I dunno what Voltron fans like) :lol

I like the SOC line and to be brutally honest the lack of videos covering it can be a bit of a downer for me. Honestly wasn't expecting Voltron, but when you have something timeless you have to make a cool toy out of it.


..And maybe a Stealth Voltron that has articulation and doesn't have his name plastered onto his chest. What, I like Stealth Voltron.

I'm personally surprise that this being made given that GoLion was never popular in Japan compare to other mecha like Mazinger and Gundam.

It is 100% completely unrelated to that shows success. That wouldn't even remotely be possible man. That show came out, what, a month ago? Do you really, honestly think in a month that Bandai threw a prototype of this thing together to have on display at SDCC? No. It's been in the works for a couple of years now. A prototype existed even before the netflix show was revealed to the public. This thing is being produced primarily because this year, 2016, is Golions' 35th Anniversary. Of course it's also marketed with a western audience in mind on top of that, that's a given. But this set being made has nothing whatsoever to do with the netflix show. It just logistically can not possibly have been related to that shows' success and or failure. It wouldn't have any bearing on it.

I'm actually impressed with this because it still looks like the anime as it isn't overly detailed, the lions appear to be able to sit like lions, and it comes with all of their weapons from the show.

Pass. It looks great but I have nowhere near enough love for the classic Voltron to pay that much.

I'll just wait it out until someone makes a toy of the new one. Might not be this high-end but that's the one I care about.

Well, the QC on my SoC GoLion was fairly poor. The Blue Lion's head was detached, and outside the plastic the body was wrapped in, so it wasn't done in shipping. All of the other Lions had their heads attached and inside the plastic. The ball joint is tiny and on a hinge so I'm terrified I'm going to break the thing. Additionally, the sticker sheet is missing. I sifted through the little instruction thing hoping it was in there, but no luck. I absolutely adore the figure but the issues kind of mute my enjoyment at the moment. I do have to say, though, the paint apps are gorgeous. There is not a flaw to be found anywhere in those.

Could you check and see if yellow lion's cheeks can open up just like the original toy, please?

Humph, that's disappointing. You'd think that the the ones who designed the original would remember those little details in their newest version.
