Hmm...I think the characaterization and plot in this episode is really good :D

Next episode, Eddith as Ganma Ultima Ebony Form, Akari possessed by Beethoven and Adel in his Perfect Ganmaizer Form attack all Riders...

Can I just say I enjoyed the way Grateful was used this episode? This has probably been the most effective it's been against the Ganmaizer's. I really liked how Houdini and Musashi countered it before Billy went in for the shot.

Takeru displaying his battle smarts this episode even more than in the last one.

"Big ol' Ganmaizer coming!...better turn into literally the weakest form in the entire show!" And then Billy had to hold his hand through making basically the first successful Grateful use against a Ganmaizer. Takeru is a great lead.

Eh, not that I should really complain I guess, I do like Ore more than both of his last two forms. Is kind of dumb though.

Yep, that sure was an episode of Ghost. So glad we spent all that time developing the cop and his ungrateful bitch daughter; I'm sure those two will be important characters during the end game of the show and totally won't never be seen or mentioned again. :rolleyes

Honestly, I thought the episode was pretty unremarkable - not offensively bad, just really boring. I had to mark it down a bit because of that final battle, though. While the double-wide monster was an interesting concept, it was way too bulky to really make for a good action scene - it just stood there while the Riders hit it.

It's great to see more of Alain's mystery brother, though. It's nice to see a storyline like this that's been developed over the course of the entire show and definitely not tossed in randomly with less than ten episodes of the series left as an obvious hook for the summer movie.

I'm really curious as to how they did the suit work. I know that it's probably two guys in the suit but still. If so they managed to have some kind of good coordination to be able to do what they did.

From the scene early on when it was running away, it sort of looked like it was being held up by wires and the guys inside were just sorta flailing around.


Anyway, I was sort of hoping I had just missed something in the raw, but nope. The plot this time around was pretty dumb. The whole Good Cop was Bad Cop all along thing was a shitty and obvious twist from the beginning, but the execution still disappointed me. To begin with, they don't give us even an inkling of a motive, he was just being bad because bad. Moreover, his plan was unspeakably moronic. "My partner is suspecting me of crimes, so I'm gonna attack the guy he has following me, but I'm gonna leave him alive so he can testify against me later, and then I'm going to blame my partner for it despite the fact that he is clearly surrounded by half a dozen alibis. It's a foolproof strategy."

Seriously...maybe I'm being the idiot here, but how in the fuck was that ever supposed to work? When I watched 39 last week, it was obvious he was the bad guy, but at the same time I was kind of doubting it because if he was it wouldn't make any sense. And it still doesn't.

I don't mind throwaway victim of the week plots, but this one was stupid. A lot of Ghost's are stupid.

Not the best episode, but not bad either. This only leaves Beethoven for Takeru to connect with. Will he finally be able to make his wish then?

50th episode will just be an Epilouge crossover with Ex-Aid

Wouldn't be the first time its happened. Ultraman has a 2-man-1-suit kaiju and Kikaider 01 had one as a villain general. Its the first time in a while I've seen it in a modern production, so it makes me wonder if it was meant as some sort of throwback.

All this stuff about Makoto's father and Alain's other brother is just about the movie, isn't it ? If it's just tease and has no resolution in the serie it kind of sucks then.

This episode was simply bad. Just bad. Not even enough to get me ranting. Just enough to make me sad. Such a shame since Ghost has probably the best suits and some of the best action scenes in Kamen Rider (in my opinion).

This was the first episode where I skipped most of it until the final fight scene since I knew it was going to be predictable and comedic. It was just disappointing and bad. I found the movie tie-in more interesting than the whole episode.

Looks like the next episode will be more serious and will focus on the actual story this time (hopefully).

This was a wonderful episode to me. I loved the lesson of courage and exactly how difficult it can be to take in your best friend. I will say Ghost has some of the better random civilian plot episodes that definitely bring out the best in the characters. I am also intrigued and enjoying the tie-in with the movie especially connecting both Alain's brother and Makoto's father to this plot. It seems like a definite sore spot for Makoto and I can't wait to see what happens in the movie for that. I love that Takeru no matter how stubborn the person he's trying to help is has the faith to believe in the best in people. I love his optimism. Also great use of Houdini, Musashi, and Billy the Kid I love when the Luminaries help out in fights. The Ganmaizer was intriguing too I wonder what the data will result in for Adel. I can't wait to see more and what happens next.
