PMC- Ninja Steel Toys On Display
3 Attachment(s)
A couple close looks at next seasons' toyline!
|
Not suprised with how the de-frogged the Gamagama Gun.
Also, it's gonna be called the Wolf Zord isn't it? |
So they actually slaughtered Shurikenjin. At least the Dino Charge Megazord was passable, and arguably better in a few regards but this is just a travesty. Dumpmaru doesn't even look like a dump truck, Shinobimaru seems to be too small, and the shield just looks off. The Ichibanto doesn look bad but it is very, very far off. I'm guessing they're gutting the electronics from the shurikens and just putting everything in the Ichibanto and co. but it looks like they're taking out the little flip down mask which is really disappointing. I was hoping these would be good so I didn't have to pay import prices for the Sentai versions but they messed up a lot here.
|
Well, the shurikens look... awful.
|
Aside from the problems ValdorKing and Talisman mentioned. The action figures for the males are unnecessarily buff as usual.
And apparently who ever set them up cared enough to have AoiNinger hold his sword in the typical reverse-grip, but didn't care enough to actually unbend the sword. And then there's poor KiNinger who not only has a bent blade, but also seems to have the edge of said blade facing towards himself. |
I like the Megazord.

Admittedly it's still far from a good impression, but BoA seems to have had to rush quite a few things out for the show just to have them on display. And the females look decent at least. |
Hmm, I have a feeling the foam thing will look better on the final product. But for foam, yeah this makes some sense. I've seen kids a lot, and my mom works at a daycare so I've heard her horror stories.
|
I really hope that the shurikens look better as a final product.
The role-play toys don't look that good to me at all. I know little paint is to be expected, but these seem really bland. The megazord and zords look okay. I expected less paint apps and it doesn't look that bad. As per usual when I see it in person I'll probably think it'll look better. The figures look really good, I've never minded the five inch line of figures and owning the Dino Charge team, I'm excited to get the Ninja Steel ones. Even if the show is not good, these suits look really nice. Also it seems that the females have splits in the skirts now. |
From what I've gleaned from the Q&A coverage, the shurikens on display are just placeholders, which hopefully explains the copy/pasted image of NS Red. The production ones will be made of a "foam-like soft plastic".

The morpher/sword looks better than I was expecting, so I might actually get it. The Megazord looks good to me, and is something I'll definitely get eventually.
The figures don't look bad, but I'll likely be passing on them. I'm hopin Bandai will include them in the new Legacy line of figures at some point. Not sure if this was on-purpose, but there's no article on the front page for this thread. |
What's with the gun?
They surgically replace the amphibian head with Gao Silver's cellphone or something? |

Don't get why Bandai just won't do what they do for the Legacy line with every new series release right now. Why put in the extra work?

More than likely gonna pass on buying Ninja Steel stuff. Except the obvious ones... But they don't look bad. Ill give them kudos on the sword.
|
That Megazord looks hilariously awful, like that knockoff Pokemon GO China did.
I mean Ninninger has flaws, but still BoA could have put a tense bit more effort into this hot mess of a mecha. |
So, my question.
Does it still have joints in the legs? Otherwise, Ha-Oh Shurikenjin is gonna be even more disappointing than before :lol |

Well, at least it shows they thought ahead. |

Definitely looks like the Megazord has knee joints. Which is a nice touch, as most in the past haven't had them.
Since Bandai has been in the habit of making 5" action figures of the Meazords, I wonder if they'll also do a dedicated figure of the Red Ranger's zord as well, since it's humanoid. |
Ah. Nice. I'm glad they kept it. That was basically the only positive thing about this mech :lol

So, it seems the sword is no longer the transformation device..
The Karakuri Hengen is now the "Ninja Star Morpher." |
Ninja Star Morpher? Will I know another morpher that's gonna get changed :lol
|
I'm curious as to what that armored red ranger is. Considering Dino Drive mode ended up being used in the show, I wonder if this new armor will too.

So what's with the trench knife hovering behind and between the Megazord and Armored Red?
|

It's the two floating... blades? between the armored Red Ranger figure and the image of the NS Pink Ranger that have me stumped... |
