It looks absolutely gorgeous, but I know that chrome is going to flake so bad. I really wish they would have just used silver paint.

From my experience and what I've seen online chrome doesn't flake or wear nearly as bad as it used to. As long as it's treated like a $300-ish toy it'll probably be fine. I don't really like the inconsistent chrome though. I can tell they were going for the old DX toy look as opposed to the in-show suit look, but the random chrome splotches kind of take away from the "premium quality" for me.

Are we getting one for the site? That Gallery will be SOOOOOOOOO GORGEOUS!!!!!!!

I wonder how the scale is? They mentioned SoC Voltron, who looks relatively small in comparison to Toynami releases, but the first pics of SoC Daizyujin where there was a guy standing in the background, makes them look huge.

Why didn't they make two sets of the toy and have one set combined?! WHY?!

Because they're showing the combined form for NYCC in October.

Going off of that Tamashii Stage holding up the pterodactyl it looks like it might end up being ever so slightly larger than the original toy. Depends on how the proportions play out though.

I'm really curious how big the head is going to be. I would love to have a bigger head to make it look more like the suit, but I'm not sure how they'd cram that in the tyrannosaurus head.

Not counting the articulation that this thing'll have, THIS is how the Legacy Megazord should have looked. All the beautiful sculpted detail and silver paint. I need it

Combined mode will be the make-or-break feature; if it can't hold together well or has wacky proportions my interest will plummet.

If you also want a super high price point then sure. Seriously you need to weight the costs of these things vs the work they will put in. The legacy line is just meant to remake the original toys.

It's like the Legacy figures out right now. They aren't Figuarts, stop thinking that's what the line is supposed to be.

This is not how the Legacy line should have looked. Would have been nice but let's be realistic.


Now I'm quite curious to see how this thing connects. Clearly not zordbuilder. I can see the tabs and all.

I get that, I'm more comparing the Legacy Megazord to later Legacy zords that are fully painted and sculpted. The stickers and unpainted diecast make the Legacy Megazord stick out like the dolled up $20 toy it was. I'm not talking articulation.

I'll definitely need to see the combined mode(s) before I can say whether or not I'll be saving for this, but I also want to see more of the articulation on the individuals, especially on the saber tooth tiger. I want to see how the legs fold, and if those shoulder wheels turn. And I'm curious whether or not this is the final paint job, looks a bit glossier than I would expect.
